Day 1 Elvin came with 24 holiday themed books (Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah, Kwanza) and a new lego advent calendar.

Day 2 Elvin was 'playing' with the dinos. Not sure if this was a game or the dinos were surrounding him

I'm uploading pictures now, so I'll add them when I get them uploaded...

Ivy and Jolly Evergreen are the names of our elves...

Day 1 - December 1st -

They arrived from the North Pole bringing 'Breakfast with the Elves' with them. They got bored waiting on the kids to wake up so they decided to play a little game of Christmas Chess. They also had to be super quiet because the mom of the family was asleep on the couch after being sick all night. LOL

Day 2 - December 2nd -

Ivy went to a sleepover with Caitrin for her friend's birthday. Jolly stayed home with Declan. He was found this morning playing on the laptop (and he had drained the battery!) so I think he may have been scoping out all of his facebook friends. Yes, they have their own facebook account.

Day 3 - December 3rd -

Caitrin left Ivy a note so she posted on facebook to reply. We found the duo on the couch with a huge bag of bows that they had opened and dumped out. Jolly was inside the bag. They made quite the mess, we aren't sure what they were up to. Hmm...

Our elf, Christopher, thought the spindles on the stairs would look better as candy canes.

An elf can get very thirsty after a long trip from the North Pole. Syrup, one of the elf four food groups.

We just started Sunday. My son named our elf Mr. Peppermint and he was so excited when he arrived this year. For his debut this year he decorated our light fixture in the kitchen.

Today he had my son's toothbrush and had a bit of toothpaste on his face.

B. Tracy, how did you make that ninja costume and how did you make him look like he is flying in the picture?

I just handstitched it out of some black fabric scraps I had. Trust me that was a rough ninja outfit. LOL! He's actually attached to a piece of string that was tied from the fan to the door handle. Christopher is a lot more bendable than the original elf.

I just had to share (I'll post a picture later).... I came home from work to find one of the kids' elves sitting in my desk chair with one of my snowmen ornaments and a hair dryer. LOL I think my hubby is having some fun. The other elf had the end of the cord plugged in to the wall. I was laughing so hard. I took pictures to show the kids.

I don't know what I'm more grateful for - Pinterest/Instagram for ideas, or the fact that there are only 2 more nights of this!

What our elf has done:

Brought a dvd of "Elf"
Drew on Eleanor's face
Toilet papered the tree
Built a Lego fort
Strung up some party balloons
Left a couple pictures on the lite-brite
Read a "magazine" - Santa's World
Played on a mini pool table ($1.59 at Drug Mart)
Cut up some snowflakes
Made a "snow" angel in flour
Built a fort out of sugar cubes
Had a "snowball" fight with the snowmen ornaments
Silly Stringed the bathroom
Head popping out of where Crackle would be on the Rice Krispie box
Marshmallow bubble bath
Fishing for Goldfish crackers
Sick day - wadded up kleenex in a tiny wastebasket, tiny thermometer, etc
Sitting on plush Santa's lap
Put a bunch of Elf on the Shelf apps on Dad's phone and changed wallpaper to his picture

I snicker (sympathetically) whenever I see the hashtag: #runningoutofideas

We had an elf FAIL this morning!! Hubby was supposed to hide it, he came upstairs for a snack at night and got the elf from yesterday's spot. We had a plan and everything.... He tossed it down the stairs, and then FORGOT about it! So the girls found him this morning on the floor at the bottom of the stairs!! My 5 year old came up after finding him and said "he must have run out of ideas....he's just laying on the floor!" LOL
Hubby tried to call me from work early this morning to try and catch me before they got up, but I had my phone off. Ugh! So I had to go do damage control...snuck downstairs and put him in the planned spot, then after breakfast when they noticed he moved I just said that he must have fallen asleep and they woke him up when we turned the lights on. ... seems to have worked. LOL

If they only knew how much that is the case here. LOL. I love your story that your elf must have been sleeping and you woke him up by turning on the lights.
