View Count Added to the Gallery!

Hey chickies!

Lea reached out to me earlier and mentioned that she was missing the view count in the gallery. It was shown on the layout info, so I knew that data was being tracked somewhere and after digging into it, I was able to display that info on the gallery index page under each image. Yay!

It displays now on either style...

Sweet Shoppe Gallery Classic

And on hover in the Sweet Shoppe Gallery Modern style...

Speaking of styles, if you didn't already know you can choose your favorite gallery display style from the "preferences" tab in your user menu at the top of the forum here...

Thought I would edit one more time to point out one more difference between Gallery Classic and Modern.

When a layout in Gallery Classic is clicked it opens a more traditional viewing experience with the layout info, comments, etc under the image...

When a layout is clicked in our Gallery Modern style it pops up in a modern modern lightbox with the info to the side...

You are welcome to choose whichever version feels most natural to you.

And don't forget... you can click any of the designer tags shown to be taken straight to all of the images that have been tagged with their name.

I think most of us are used to the new forums and gallery at this point, BUUUUT if there's something that really bothers you, just shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to look into it. I've been able to tweak so much in the new software, so let me know if you're really missing something. We really do want this to be one of your favorite places to spend time and get inspo!

And I appreciate all of the continued tutorials. I find that I notice something new every time I'm here!
 
Am I the only one who wishes this wasn't added again? It depresses me to see layouts with 25+ views, and zero comments. I preferred to not know how many views a layout had. Oh well, I'll get over it!

Haha. I feel the same if I am totally honest with you. It's why I disabled the member list stats that are available at other sites because I just think it's weird to see a leaderboard of top posters, etc. and I sorta feel the same way about this.

I'm not the biggest fan, but I know quite a few people are happy by the update. I looked into it because it's not the first mention I've heard of someone missing it. I've never been a "stats" person myself though. I'm too go with the flow.

Oooh I want the stats back!! lol I was working my way up a page for post count!! Haha
