Growing up my mom was what I would call ~hair impaired~ In her defense I have really straight hair. So the only way she could ~tame~ it was to put it up in pigtails. But because they ended up standing straight up in the air, my brother called them palm trees. So anytime she would fix my hair I would ask her to put in palm trees.
