My 9yo went to his grandmother's (my mom) house for the summer all by himself for the first time (is in another State). The only thing I told her was "you have to let him water the plants". We live in an apartment in the city, and one of the things I remember more fondly of my childhood was to water the garden and oops... take a hose shower... guess who did the same?
