Professor Grover Krantz taught anthropology at WSU, where I grew up. He was on the news fairly regularly during my years in Pullman for his work trying to prove the existence of Bigfoot. While he was considered a kook by lots of people, he was a gifted teacher and his students loved him. He donated his body to the Smithsonian after his death from cancer, and his skeleton and that of one his dogs is on display in the Museum of Natural History to this day.
