I attended a breakout session at a photography conference that focused on the use of available light to create portraits. This is the model they brought in to give us a chance to try out the techniques they were teaching us.
Believe it or not, this is in an ugly hotel meeting room. The lights in the room were turned off, and there's a window - the model is looking towards it - with heavy drapes that were opened just wide enough to let in this rectangle of light.
I love the combination of light and shadow and how it really shows off the shape of her gorgeous pregnant body.
