As soon as I became a mom, my biggest fear
became something horrible happening to you.
Sometimes the littlest thing will cause me
to worry. I never used to be that way. So,
when I took you in for your 3 year check-up
and the pediatrician told me you had an
irregular heartrate and he wanted you to
see a pediatric cardiologist, you can imagine
the things that went through my mind.
We had to wait almost a month for the
appointment and it was hard not to search
all over the internet for something that
would ease my fears. Once we saw the
cardiologist and you had an EKG done, it
was confirmed that you did have an
irregular heartrate and you had to wear a
heart monitor for 24 hoursto make sure your
heart was speeding up and slowing down as
needed. We were worried you wouldn’t keep
it on the whole time but you were a great
sport! The doctor was great and got back
to me just a couple of hours after seeing
the results. Thank God the report showed
your heart works perfectly fine. Your heart
just beats to it’s own little beat
