Goodbye Dream

Journaling:
Ever since I was a young girl in junior high school, I have dreamed of becoming a writer. I have a passion for books. Reading was a hobby that I couldn’t get enough of. From the young adult fictions of Christopher Pike to the amazing tales of Diana Gabaldon, books have been a part of my life.
For many, many years that passion for literature has been in my blood, so much so that I wanted to be a part of it. Right in the middle of it, telling tales and spinning webs of passion, mystery, drama, romance...
I dreamed of sitting at a desk such as this one with an old typewriter and crisp, clean sheets of typing paper being filled up with the greatest pieces of my imagination. And the fact that they were from my own mind and not the mind of others would make them all the more precious.
And I would see these tales in print. In bookstores, in the hands of people who were more than willing to hang on my every word.
But, then life happened.
Those dreams turned into inty broken pieces of light, swept away by fate and destiny.I became a mother, a wife. But not a writer. Never a writer.
Yes, now and then I’ll blog, or write a cute fan fiction story for a friend, but I’ve never again tapped into my ultimate dream.
Maybe it’s better this way. Maybe it’s better I forget all about it.Then I won’t know what it’s like to try and fail.

Mandy... this is just gorgeous and moving. I hope you can see it just might not be right now for that dream, but someday it might be the right time.

So I really meant to write more than that.. I actually think I HAD written more. Now I'm kinda worried where what I said went to lol. ANYWAY.... don't let go of that dream girlie ;) You never know what the future may hold for you :)

Oh Mandy!!!! Don't give up on that dream!!! I know exactly how you feel, for I went to school for just that very thing, yet I have children and family "in the way" of that dream right now. But that doesn't mean it can't be SOMEday. Don't give up!
I love this page, though. It's so full of heart and deep rich colors. TFS!

Oh Please don't give up on your dream - you write so beautifully!! Love the old typewriter in the pic!!

Your layout is beautiful Mandy, as well as the journaling. Thanks for sharing with us and for a great challenge.

I love the elegance of the photo and the type treatment. I truly hope that one day you can reach that goal.
