Popeye - 'nuff said.
7 - I knew it was going to be less than nice, but I found it it to go way beyond my comfort level of violence - to being somewhat pornographically violent. Last edited by Darcy Baldwin; 06-19-2012 at 11:31 AM. Reason: clarifying why |

We haven't, though Dusty really wanted to walk out of P.S. I love you. That would've been one I was willing to walk out of, because we had preview passes.
But I liked it, so we stayed ![]()

Nope... but we usually only go to kids' movies with Luke. Adult movies we wait for RedBox or Netflix.

I can't remember ever doing it because of the cost too...I'd rather suffer and get my money's worth. But we also usually just see the kid movies in the theater.

Big Night
and Finding Nemo but that was because my 2 yr old was screaming her head off before the movie even started...didn't even get past the previews. $40 for absolutely nothing.

I would have liked to have walked out of Black Hawk Down. I also hated the first fifteen minutes of Saving Private Ryan. Shaky movies--ugh!
I did walk out of some Beethoven movie (not the dog movies--the real Beethoven). It was so slow and boring. And I was young and single--I could afford to leave. ![]() |

I haven't walked out of a movie in forever since I now check out reviews before I go. The last movie I can think of that I walked out of was La Bamba, but I agree with Stacy and should have walked out of Cry Baby, Johnny Depp's worst movie. I agree with Nicole and would have walked out of Black Hawk Down but that was a rental. I was pregnant when I saw it and it was so intense that I actually got sick over it.

I only did this once, when Benjamin was 2 and we took him to his first movie. I *think* it was Finding Nemo and he just got bored.
Right now, we usually only go to kids movies, and they are always good enough to keep the kids captivated. If I get bored when I'm there with them, I'll have a nap LOL

Onlly once because a lady was really rude to me as I was finding my seat and she tried to trip me as I left. If she had done it to my husband he would have been back in the hospital most likely. I went and complained to the manager and she gave us comp tickets and refunded our food purchase. I ended up not liking the movie when we went back though

There were a couple movies that were that bad that i wanted to walk out on but being a single mom i wasn't going to waste my money leaving like 10- 15 minutes in. Just like Julie I check reviews before I go.

No, but I fell asleep during Harry Potter 2. We were watching it Friday night at like 10:30 and I'd been up since 3 studying for an exam, and we were in the 2nd row so I was getting a headache. I went with my friends that time. When I went again with my family, there was a kid with HORRIBLE b.o. and I just about died during it, but I couldn't walk out because I was with my whole family.
We hardly ever go to movies these days and hardly even rent from Red Box anymore. We can be picky about what we watch though, so we try to make sure we will really like it first.

We almost never go to the movies. The few movies we see in the theater are ones that we're almost sure we'll love, like favorite books made into movies or new kids movies that everyone has been saying good things about.
But now that I'm thinking about it, I had to leave Cars 2 with DD, who had just turned 3 and didn't get it well enough to sit still through the entire thing. DH and the boys stayed. And DS's friend had a movie theater birthday party at a movie that was not a good choice for kindergartners (Journey 2), so I had to leave with DS. Half the kids invited spent the movie part of the party in the lobby with us. Both of those were at a second run movie theater that charges $2 a ticket, so no big deal. I'm planning to take the kids to a few movies this summer, but we're only going there so we can leave if we need to.

I go to the movies all the time, with girlfriends or with my kids. It takes a lot for me to hate something, but I did walk out of The Fisher King with Robin Williams. I remember nothing about it, just that it stunk.
If I had gone to the movies to see A Simple Plan, I would have been tempted. I rented it and kept thinking... surely this can't get any worse, but it did. |

I can't think of a movie I've ever actually walked out of but I was really tempted with The Hunger Games. Had Adam not been there I probably would have. Didn't like that one at all.
I almost walked out of the first Harry Potter movie but that was because my boyfriend at the time (who'd insisted we see it by the way) was totally whining that he was bored and ruining the movie for me. I've made it through some really terrible movies though. Gosford Park, Clifford (not the big red dog, haha) and 2001: A Space Odyssey come to mind. ![]() |

Yes, but not in many years. I rarely go to the movies now because I always have to pee, or someone tall sits in front of me, or something happens and I can't enjoy it. I wait for everything to hit redbox or netflix pretty much.

I almost walked out of Avengers last month, but not because I wasn't enjoying it. The AC wasn't working in there, kids were screaming the whole movie, running up and down the aisles...
I complained instead after and got 6 free tickets. We used them to see Dark Shadows (just ok) and Rock of Ages (both RIck and I really enjoyed it). As a matter of fact, one of my boys and his gf went to see Rock of Ages last weekend too, and they really enjoyed it as well. Over the top, but it's meant to be. It was just fun! |

No I've never walked out of a movie. I wanted to so bad during The Break Up but that was because I was alone. DH (who was my finance at the time) was at AIT and nobody else wanted to see the movie. I had to get out of the house and I just went. There were so many couples around me that I ended up silently crying because I missed DH soo bad. He had already been gone for 3 months and we had another 2 and a half to go.

I've never walked out of a movie, and I can only think of one time when I even thought about it. In general, I'm pretty picky about which movies I pay that much money to see. If I'm not pretty sure that I'm going to like/love it, I just wait for it to come out on DVD.

The Running Man, starring Arnold Schwazzernager.... Hubby (boyfriend at the time) got so angry at the way the movie made the audience part of the bloodsportage/audience in the movie, he stalked out, and I had to run after him! I think that was back in 1987.

I was tempted to walk out of Schindler's List. Not because it was a bad movie, but because it was such a good movie that it was intensely painful to watch. I stuck it out but I doubt I would ever watch it again. I'm less inclined to watch "important" or sad movies than I used to be -- I'm paying to be entertained, not depressed.

Road House with Patrick Swayze. I think because it was too violent.
Platoon. Not my choice. Didn't "technically" walk out but I spent a lot of the time in the bathroom talking with friends. Way too violent for me.
