I can't believe that September is flying by, so fast!
And I'd like to prepare for the next year from now, because we may be busy in the last 3 months of the year for many things. Cindy, when will you release your new calendar? I can't wait to see it ![]() |

I got mine printed at shutterfly last year. The problem with using them is that you don't get to customize the date grid. You have to choose from their options. I would like to find someone this year who will allow you to customize both the top and bottom.

I didn't get around to making the calendars last year, but I was going to have them done at Persnickety. They allow customization of the date grid. I should get started on my calendars for this year soon and maybe I'll actually get them done

I wish I could remember where I got mine printed last year because they were SO easy to upload & they turned out really nice. I'll have to look and see if it says on the back (it's at work).
Cindy's calendars are my favorite! This will be my 3rd year making them! ![]()

I think Mari and Ru have something in the works too!! I am excited to get started on mine this year as well... I just love looking at it each month! I printed mine last year at Persnickety as well... The only customization I recall doing to the grid was adding Birthdays and Anniversaries and such, but Holidays were already there! I think I had mine printed late November, with a buy two, get one free sale, I think.

I print and bind my own. I just pay to use our Teacher Center at work...print on cardstock and bind. Voila!

I ordered mine from overnightprints.com - they turned out fine, but shipping took forever (although I was expecting that based on a thread here last year about printing calendars). And somehow, I got duplicates of the three I ordered - hard to complain about that! They were inexpensive, too.
I just looked at persnickety, and I think you can customize the top completely but not the bottom. You can add pics and text to the grid, but I didn't see a way to insert your own grid. |

I've had mine printed at overnightprints.com the last 2 years. Great quality and customization of both top and bottom. BUT> they do take FOREVER to get. And last year they didn't put holes in the top for hanging. They did give me extras for free though for some reason.
I'd like to find a new place to print them, but so few let you customize the bottom and when you buy Cindy's templates that's half of it! Oh, and Staples will print and bind them, but there is a white border on them. I may just give in and do that this year though. I'm not sure anyone would notice. |

I print 9 copies for family members, so I use Shutterfly. The quality is good, they're quick, and they offer nice discounts on multiple calendars if you order at the right time. A few years ago I tried to find a place that was reasonably priced and let you upload your own bottom page, and after trying the upload software at a few sites I gave up and went back to Shutterfly. The 2 places I tried were so hard to use.

![]() I just want to warn folks about the HORRIBLE experience I had. I ordered 4 different calendars and they kept re-sending the same calendar, and it took forever. I kept contacting customer service and no matter how many times I explained that I ordered 4 and only got 1, and spelled it out clearly in writing, they never listened enough to understand what I was trying to say. They tracked a package that I did receive, with the wrong calendars, and then kept insisting I received it. I told them that yes, I did receive that one, but it didn't contain all my calendars, which I had paid for up front. I triple checked my order on their site and it was all in there correctly. After 4 months and not receiving all of my calendars, contacted customer service again and told them I was still missing one. They said if I needed a reprint, I'd have to reorder. No matter what I said, they could not understand that I didn't need a reprint, I just needed my original order. In the end they somehow added another charge to my account for $35, though no other products were ever sent. When I went up the chain to try to get the charge taken off, I was told I had to pay it or not do business with them again. Now I know sometimes I can make mistakes when ordering, etc., but in this case everything was more than triple checked and the mistake (and POOR customer service) was on their end. If the order goes through smoothly the first time, the calendars are nice enough. The hassle of ordering calendars in early November and not having all of them by February, and dealing with rude customer service, has led me to never doing business there again. |

We need to get Persnickety Prints to do the custom top and bottom calendars. I just asked them on their FB page. They cater so much to scrapbookers, it would be great if they could do those for a reasonable price.

I have done calendars every year for the past 6 years or so. We send them to the grandparents and other IL's. I usually get mine done through Shutterfly. I have tried ArtsCow though and I LOVED those! I was using Shabby Princess calendars that year and they had the decorative bottoms with them and with ArtsCow you can use those. With Shutterfly you can only use your custom tops, not the bottoms too. Last year I picked up the set by Cindy and Dani and used those but had them printed at Shutterfly.
This year I think I'm going to print my own. ![]() ![]() |

I'm so excited - a few years ago I printed my calendars with custom grids at mpix.com and they were AWESOME, and super quick. Last year I couldn't find in their web site how to get my own grids in there again, so I went to overnight prints and had the experience I mentioned above. So I emailed Mpix yesterday and just got a note from them - it IS still possible to use your own grids!
If you want to do it, here's how. First go to this link and download their desktop software http://www.mpix.com/MpixPress.aspx You cannot do custom pages on the bottom in their online software, only the desktop version. When you are in the calendar, click on the bottom half of the page. Click unlock date grid. You can click on the month title and delete it, but for the actual grid, it don't delete - you have to resize it smaller and smaller, and then it goes away. ![]() I actually use their pro photographer counterpart for a lot of my prints for my photography business!
