Realistic looking text
Hi there.....I'm relatively new to digital scrapping and have been using Photoshop Elements 13 to create my pages. I'm loving learning all about it and have read through most of the fabulous tutorials Sweet Shoppe have provided but I have one area which I'm still not 100% happy with which is the way the text looks on the page.
I've read that with Photoshop you can blend the text into the background....is there a way to create a similar look in Elements. I'd like it to look more realistic rather than just stuck there on the page which is how it looks now! Thanks! |

Elements and Photoshop operate pretty much the same, so if you saw a tutorial for PS you could probably adjust it for your needs. Elements is essentially just a stripped down version of the full program- there are slight differences but it's all basically the same. (PS is just more 'powerful')
What you could try is either 1) lowering the opacity of your text layer slightly, or 2) changing the blending mode of the layer -- overly, soft light, hard light, etc. That will help create that 'blended' look you are trying to achieve :]

It's definitely possible. I've done it.
And thanks to your post I've noticed the tutorials for the first time. Awesome! I'm not new to scrapping, but new to Sweet Shoppe, and I still like learning new things I can do on my scrapbook pages. |
