You guys! I have to share
Ok you guys! I am so flippin' excited that I have to share! So I recently reconnected with an old friend of mine. She's an artist at Art You Can Hug. I asked her to make this drawing of my daughter's "Avocado Girl" into a plushie for my little girl.
 Well, she totally rocked it! I had intended on giving it to my daughter for Christmas but she was having such a rough day that I gave it to her today. (She's sick today and a little boy has been bullying her in school so she was crying when I picked her up). It totally made her day! She kept asking "How?!" Lol..   Isn't it great?! I'm totally going to scrap a page about it of course! And now I'm going to shamelessly plug my friend's business in case you all want to get some of your kiddo's (or heck your own!) creations made into a reality. Lol.. I'm just so impressed and it was only $25 including shipping! Oh my GOSH!!! Thi is so so so neat! My daughter is such a little artist, and I think this would make a great birthday present for her in February! How long does the process take?

For the size that my daughter is holding (small) it's about a week, possibly less depending on if her daughter naps well or can entertain herself. We all know how that goes!
She makes them from small all the way up to jumbo sizes like the kinds you see at the fair!

I knew you guys would *get* it! This is definitely one of those keepsakes that's going to be packed away with the baby blankets, lost teeth etc when she outgrows it so we can pull it out of the box and love and laugh over it all over again when she's all grown up herself.

That is SO cool! It turned out exactly like her drawing! My kids would DIE of happiness to get something in 'real life' that they created.
I've actually thought of doing this with my kids characters myself, but I know how much money and work goes into making plushies and haven't done it yet. My mom and I used to make and sell them (mostly robots and mermaids) on Etsy before I got into digi designing. It is SO much work, and fabric costs add up. The fact that it's custom and was so affordable is super rare! I might just go with her instead of doing it myself. Thanks so much for sharing!!
