Default The stupid little games on your phone

I seriously am addicted, and even if I delete one, then I download another brainless thing to waste time ... I would much rather be scrapping or reading, what is wrong with me??? lol

Anyone else feel like the pull of the stupid phone games takes up way too much of your time?

Oh my goodness yes! Monday is the worst day for me. I have been busy all weekend and need to decompress. I can get no work done just zoning out.
I am starting to wonder if I will run out of levels on one of them.

Ugh I've been doing the same the past week or so! What the heck!

I just realized that Netflix has a few free games too and I really enjoy one of them and I think it would be a good puzzle one for my girls too (at least that's what I tell myseflf and it makes me feel better somehow...) but still waste too much time on there.
it's called Monument Valley

Haha well at least I'm not the only one!!! I'm in the 3500's on Royal Match (nothing like the ads btw ... ) and I've also been colouring in a colour by number app. We've been dealing with some stress at home, and the mind numbing stuff well, numbs. But man when I look at how much time I've spent on them, it makes me cringe!

It's a good easy way to decompress rather than doomscrolling social media IMO.

I am absolutely obsessed with a game called Merge Mayor currently lol It's just the silliest merge game where you make a little city cuter and cuter the more you merge. Can't help myself but check in a few times a day to merge my chickens into goats into sheep into pigs, etc.

I'm a gamer at heart though, so I'm always playing something. It's something l love about me Games are fun! Fun is good! There's too much sad and serious in the world to not enjoy the little things <3

I was wondering about Royal Match where it claims to be exactly like the ads. Glad you said something.

I'm so heart broken. I've been playing The Simpson's Tapped Out for around eleven years. I just found out today that they are discontinuing the game. I'm crying! I guess that I'll have more time to scrap, though.

It IS fun, but it's not like the ads where you try to save the king by matching things. That's a bonus level every 100 levels ... the other 99 are Candy-crush style. Difference is you don't get stars or points, and you can't go back and re-play games. Plus, no ads ... that's a plus!!!

I think we need these mindless tasks because we use up all of our brainpower on all the decisions we have to make every day, the things we have to remember, the effort it takes to be nice to stupid people, etc. Our lives are really much more complicated than they've ever been in history. At least, that's what I tell myself.

I play Candy Crush Friends because I don't have the energy to make any more decisions by the end of the day, but I don't keep it on my phone, only on my old Kindle Fire, so at least it isn't in my pocket constantly tempting me.

Are there any matching type games that don't get harder/faster the more you play? I've played some over the years but the longer you play or more levels you complete, the harder they get. I'm not looking for a challenge when I play that sort of game. lol I just want something to occupy a few minutes of time without stress. lol I like word games, too. But some of those get harder, too. Which is fine if I was trying to feel competitive or what have you.

I don't play any games on my phone but do have a couple of my tablet.

My problem with so many of the non-match3 type of game is that they are timed. I don't want that since it is putting pressure on me. I want to be able to put it down and come back to it later if needed. I had never done a sudoku puzzle and thought I might like to try it. I searched for it and all of the ones I found were timed puzzles. I want to be able to put it away and come back later. I hate how all these games make them into competition games.

Even my match3 games have competition aspects but I can at least ignore those if I want since they aren't timed.

Oh no I'm so sorry!!

I started playing ScrewPinJamPuzzle and it's addicting. But I hate having to watch ads in between levels (I can just force close the app and start it again to skip that one), or watch the ads to add more boxes of screws at the top. But it's a fun one.

But you know that playing/solving puzzles (plus 15-20 minutes of light exercising) every days keeps Alzheimer's away. Or at least it slows the process. It just keeps your brain active.
But I'm with you as well... those games are time consuming... and you have to check them daily if you don't want to miss the daily rewards and things...

I'm not a huge fan of games. I blame it on my cousin, who cheated at Candyland. Scars from my youth. LOL

I did have an addiction to a game called Bubble Town on MSN Games. I just searched and it's still available to play in browser. Oh lordy. I might start playing it again.

I did have a few coloring apps, but did play Animal Crossing Pocket Camp for a good while.

While I'm not addicted to any of those games on my phone, I am addicted to other things, like reading and cross stitching. I become a bit obsessive about it all.

I totally agree that keeping your mind engaged but also relaxed is great for good mental health.

I find it interesting that we all digi scrap and find other ways to use tech as hobbies.

Well, playing games on my phone is my past time. I'm on my sixth year playing Township, added Pocket Camp and Pokemon and I'm on my merry day.

Try the Fruit Merge Juicy Drop Game. I stopped playing because it just stays the same, no level ups. You lose, you start over again. It has fruit with cute faces.

These last few days I'm consuming my time, playing a game called Twisted Rope 3D. Amazing how it takes my mind off of everything and the feeling of accomplishment I have, everytime I finish a level. If anyone is looking for an easy 5 minute game, you should try: Fruit Merge Juicy Drop Game. If you lose, you just start over again. It's a nice 5 minute getaway. I was also addicted to the cooking madness game, I was cooking like crazy.. I stopped during the summer and haven't opened it yet, because I know they'll give me1 hour free playing time and I know I'll be hooked again. I don't like playing games on my phone, the small screen gets on my nerves. I tried finding games on my computer, but didn't find anything good. Maybe it's better that way, or else I'd be playing all day long.

I find that these stupid phone games help me unwind when I get home from work. I am obsessed with "Township". I play this way too much. But I also like puzzle games like "Screw Sort 3D" and "Bird Set" or "Coffee Pack" --- which all have been ads for "Township" hahaha.
