I know we likely probably have other threads like this.. but maybe a condensed list could be good?
I'm trying really really hard to get better at recipes and meal planning (i'm such a bad cook.. and i hate cooking) I downloaded the samsung food app recently and I really like it! I"m only using the free version so i don't have access to all the features but it's a nice way to find a variety of recipes from different sites. ![]() Do you have an app you like? I use copymethat to get recipes off of the net but this app might be even easier. |

I love to use Paprika! I have used it for years. Good for keeping recipes and making meal plans plus shopping lists. I have the app and the desktop version of it.

I use an app called MealBoard. I think I paid $5.99 for it in 2016. I have been using it pretty consistently since then. Looks like it is now $12.99 and I would pay that today.
You can: Import a recipe from any website (I do this on phone or iPad) Type in a recipe from a cookbook (I do this on the computer) Assign it your own category Add it to your current meal plan and/or assign it to a template for a repeating meal plan Load a meal plan from one of your saved templates or just create one for the week with meals form your list Give a meal star ratings Search by category Generate a grocery list - general or store-specific Set the order of aisles for each particular store and more features that I haven't fully used.

No recipe app recommendations.. I just have like 500 recipe books (in various rooms in the house) + some favourite recipe websites and I grab the free recipe mags from the supermarkets and I therefore have more recipes than I can ever make in my lifetime, so it takes me ages each week to go through my books, etc to plan the week's menu and it drives me insane. Yet, I keep buying more recipe books
![]() I need an app that can flick through my recipe books and tell me what I should make each week ![]()

I don't use an app. I use Pinterest to pin the recipes I make and want to redo.
But otherwise I just do a search with my ingredients and mainly the photo of the recipe will attract me to try it. A friend of mine uses ChatGPT to make her meal plan and she loves it. She just says what ingredients she has on hand or what kind of meals she wants for the week and it comes up with a list and recipes. Seems insane to me!

I like to cook, and I'm good at it, but deciding and planning what to make day after day after day makes me so overwhelmed! I've tried those plans that some sites offer where they give you a ready-made meal plan, but I find that I have to tweak those so much for our preferences and dietary restrictions that I might as well just make my own. I'm in the "just tell me what to make and I'll do it" camp, but nobody is in the "I will tell you what to make" camp! Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and make a monthly meal plan and stick to it. I've done that before, and it works, but I get lazy and tired of making a new one each month.
Like Lea, I also use Pinterest to find new recipes and inspiration. I'm a visual person, so seeing photos of food inspires me and makes me hungry! That Mealboard app sounds interesting!
