Default what do you do with your layouts?

hello girls,

what do you do with your beautiful layouts?

Do you have yearbooks printed, or individual pages? Do you hang the layouts in your house? Or do most of the pages stay on your computer?

I usually only scrapbook for our yearly photo books, which I always have square bound.
that's why i always scrapbook double pages.

I used to print them all (8x8) myself and slide them into sleeves in an album. Then I discovered photobooks. Every once in a while, I'll order a book from Shutterfly (10x10) when the extra pages are free. So, it's like 111 pages in the book, I think. And I end up with 2 more since I put one on the front of the book and one on the back. lol I do have some that I printed that are hanging on the side of my fridge and a few on the wall near the recliner where I scrap.

And... I don't scrap in any kind of order. I'm all over the place. lol

I print individual prints through Persnickety Prints. I usually buy their print credits when they are on sale then when I've got about 100 layouts to print, I print them all since it is the same shipping price for 25 or 100.

But I have done some Shutterfly books for my cousin's family. These are layouts that I've also printed for myself but they know that they get these albums when I'm no longer around.

I do theme albums but do put layouts in them chronologically. I don't necessarily scrap chronologically though.

I also print individual layouts & add to 3-ring albums when PP has a good sale. I will sometimes print out an album (for DYD or vacation or specific events) at shutterfly or similar. I'm actually going to convert to printing bound albums only after 2020, so I've saved all layouts dated after 2020 to print in books. I have PLENTY to catch up on printing the individual files still, so working on that now. I also scrap in no particular order, although I try to use these big weekends to catch up on older photos. I'm almost done scrapping 2016!

I print in 12x12 books. I usually wait until the Black Friday sale at Blurb as I make a lot of pages!

I print 8x8 photobooks every year or two. Each daughter gets her own book, and if I do a family travel album I'll usually print two copies so the girls can take them when they leave home.

I scrap a lot of pages for family members too. Those I'll email to them and let them take responsibility for printing them when they want.

I print them annually in Photobooks; I buy one copy for our family and additional copies as gifts for family members.

They mostly live on my computer

I have printed the occasional vacation album, and I have a stash of Persnickety Prints credits that I never seem to use.

One of these days...

I have them printed in photobooks. I usually print when my printservice has a sale and I get free extra pages.

I've never plucked up the courage to get mine printed. The whole "bleed" (what does that even mean?) and concern that I've designed too close to the edge of the page and it'll be cut off when printed has stopped me.

So, mine are all in my computer and not in any order there either (I don't scrap chronologically at all).

Scrapbooking is more about the creative release for me so the printing has never been at the forefront of my mind. I should really curate from the hundreds of pages I have and at least get them into digital albums to share with my (adult) kids.

Also, I'm in the UK, so if there is anyone else here who has good experience of getting pages/books printed, please point me in the right direction!

I used to print individual layouts and store in three ring albums but I have mostly made the switch to printed books through Shutterfly to save on space.

I created an action for myself that adds a ¼" border to my full size layout, so I never have to worry about anything getting cut off I also don't worry too much about whether my pages are in chronological order, though there is some element to it by virtue of using pictures as I take them.

I print 12x12 and 8x8 at Persnickety, like Rene I buy their print credits on sale.

The 12x12 go into Pioneer TL sleeves and into Creative Memories 12x12-ish albums of which I still have a bunch from being a CMC. The 8x8 are for my youngest grandson's three-ring album as my 12x12 books were too heavy/bulky for him to hold when he was younger.

I don't scrap chronologically and my albums are a mish-mash of years and subjects.
