Default Are you ever tempted...?

I know I'm full of questions tonight, but I have another one for all of you. Since *most* of us are former paper scrappers, I was wondering...
Are you ever tempted to re-do your old paper pages in digi format? My oldest son's album (from birth to four years old) is all done in 12x12 paper scrapping. Now that i've seen how great the shutterfly 8x8 books look, I'm sorta tempted to just do his entire life in digi for the sake of uniformity. Anyone get what I'm saying?

I get ya. I know I don't have kids, but I'll probably do both types of albums. I can't give up my paste eating ways, lol!

oh yeah! I will definitely redo Kylie's first few years digital. The paper books get so much wear and tear and I already hate my old "style" - using this word loosely here - ha ha!

Yes.....as a matter of fact I have redone ALOT of Ashley's first year LOs (that's as far as I ever got in paper scrapping). I know I spent alot of time on her 1st year album, but I cringe when I look at it now LOL!!! Digi is so much better!

Yes! I am totally redoing my first daughter's books! I have her first 2 years in paper and am in the processing of turning them digi. I like my digi pages SOOOOOO much better and I LOVE the books as opposed to the huge albums I have for her!

I have been known to carefully remove the photos from my paper scrapbooks, scan them, and then return them to the books.

Yes I totally think about that all the time. But I talk myself out of it all the time too.

I don't think I will, I still have lots of catching up to do even though with digi I've cut down on time. Somehow it's still not enough.

I am still a paper scrapper at heart....I have been redoing most of my paper LOs to digi though. In fact, I have been working on some albums for a friend of mine at work....I have noticed that I have been digi scrapping those too! Now just to get them printed out....lol

Yes I am! I started paper scrapping over 5 years ago. I really do NOT like my first pages. They stink, big time. But I also don't know if I feel like scanning or finding all those photos again.....

I have one year of my older daughter's pages in paper, and I really have no desire to re-do them. I wasn't meant to be a paper scrapper. I love having the stuff though. LOL!

Ugh, I hate scanning! I would have to think about redoing pages if it required that, or if it was more than one book....thank goodness I was slow paper scrapper too!! I am already so far behind!

I originally never planned on redoing them, BUT now that I look at them and how BAD I was at scrapping (I wanted to be trendy but didn't know how, so I just threw popular products on my pages, lol), I'm definitely planning on redoing them. Thankfully my photos can mostly be just pulled off, I didn't do much ON the pics that can't be removed.

never been a paste eater, so nope. Although I have been tempted to start scanning the crappy pics I took with the first born (what was I thinking zooming right up?!?!) and doing pages for him finally.

Figure once I have enough to do a book of equal size for all the kids, then maybe I'll do some book orders.

I've thought about it, but haven't done anything about it either! I made some sweet paper-scrap albums to give to family members for Christmas 4 years ago. I ended up with no copies. Now I'm tempted to borrow one of them back and redo them digitally!

YES! I started an album for my parents of pics I had printed from their slides when they first got married - I haven't picked it up since I started digi-scrapping because I don't like it anymore. I am way tempted to scan the photos in and start all over, otherwise it won't get finished!

I used to get this alot from my friends that hated their first pages and I would try to talk them out of it so bad. I also think my first pages were horrible but I love to look back and see just how far I have come. This craft is growing and evolving everyday, every hour it seems and our styles change also but we all have to start somewhere and most of the time it isn't a good start. I guess I never have been tempted to redo because of reason stated above and because later when I became better at paper scrapping I spent way to much time and money on my pages to ever redo them and I really love those pages still even though digi is so much faster and cleaner. So I guess I will never go back but I will never redo.

I'm not. I'm sure there are a few layouts I wish I could just do over, paper or digi because they just stink. But that was my style/ability at that time, and my heart went into that page then. Besides, I have a MILLION pages yet to do - no way am I gonna go back and do old ones

No, not really. I'll re-use photos that I've paper scrapped and do a digital page as well, but it is not a re-do. I like most of my paper pages, with all the textures, etc. Digital has its good points, too, but I think I'll let my pages be as they are...

Nope! But that could be because I still paper scrap and 12x12 is the only paper scrap size I do!

I would - IF I ever happened to catch myself caught up! I'm like - oh - 14 years behind on my first son LOL

You know, there is one thing I miss about paper scrapping *gasp* lol. Hidden journaling. I'm all about heartfelt journaling, but I want it for my kids eyes only - not every Tom Dick and Harry who look at my books. And I like showing them off!

Well, after 5 years of scrapping paper and 13 books later, I want no part of a re-do! However, I can never see myself going back to paper after discovering digi! I haven't tried one of the shutterfly books yet, but will have to check that out. For now, I am still printing them and placing in albums.

I redid quiet a few and plan to redo more when I get a chance . I just think my digi pages look SOOO much better, but its also fun to see how far I've come. When I look back at the paper album I did for college it makes me laugh.

I have really been tempted but I am so far behind at this point that I don't think about it too long because I need to get caught up first. I paper scrapped 12x12 layouts and I print my digi layouts in 8x8. I am one that really likes for all of my books to be the same size and type. But I doubt that I will ever go back and do them digi because like I said I have several years to catch up on. With four kids there are lots of pictures but not a lot of time!!
