Hi!
New to this forum and digi scrapping. How do you put a png element (kit title apple of my eye) into a template? Does the elenment need to be on a layer already included on the template? I didn't think it would fit in the circle so I dumped the circle title layer in the trash and attempted to place it abovve the photo layer. The title appeared, but it was on a white background. I thought a png element would not have a white background I;m working with PC, vista. PSE6 Thank ou all in advance Irene |

You just need to make sure that you use an element on top of a layer that you've already worked with...if that makes any sense. So like if you are adding a peice of paper to a psd layer, THEN you can add something on top of it. I always fill in the psd layers, then go back and add stuff to the layer I want to work with.

it sounds like you are dragging in the wrong direction . . . you need to have the element open in the main window and drag it down to your LO thumbnail in the Photo Bin.
(or the opposite way . . . can't rightly remember LOL)

You could also try just copy/pasting instead of dragging (I do this sometimes, depending on the element)...
Hit Ctrl+A (select all), then Ctrl+C (copy), then move over the the template and hit Ctrl+V (paste). HTH! |
