Default AZ Girl check-in: everyone in one piece?

Holy crap, that was the biggest monsoon storm I have ever seen last night! We had huge (80 mph) winds, hail, rain coming down in buckets! And how 'bout that lightning? The sky was just lit up like daylight and the dishes were rattling on the shelves. Woke my kids up out of a sound sleep (and they sleep through anything!).

All you AZ girls make it through in one piece???

Everything is in one piece here. Kaden had trouble sleeping so he was a grouch this morning but that's about it...haha

It wasn't that bad down here in Tucson, but I heard your storm was crazy! It rained pretty hard here for about an hour and we did have some lightning, but nothing like you guys!!

Have you had any microbursts up there before? Last summer we had one hit our apt. complex and it ripped 100 ft. trees right out of the ground... it seriously looked like a tornado hit us. It was so scary. I was home all alone... and pregnant. lol

The lightning was really amazing -- the sky was just lit up continuously. I have never seen anything like that before and it made me wonder WTH was going on -- nuclear war? Hurricane? Alien invasion? It was just weird!

Awesome storm! I love it when it rains. Although the lightening got a little bit too close for comfort. I had to make sure my laptop was running off its battery. I was afraid my computer was going to get fried. I couldn't believe how long into the night the lightening carried on...

My husband got caught in one several years ago on this way home from work. He was driving his truck and a street sign smashed through his windshield. He was lucky he didn't get hurt. I am always afraid I am going to get caught in one while I am driving. I did get caught in a dust storm once at night. That was one freaky experience. I had to pull off the road for an hour before it finally was safe enough to drive home.

I live in Tucson (Marana) it wasn't too bad here. Just lots of rain. Couple weeks ago though...lighting struck right...literally...right behind my house three times. Scary stuff.
