Default It's done!!

My scrap purge is complete.

I deleted almost 50 GB. I wanted to get below 100, but I just couldn't part with stuff. I had 154 GB when I started, this included LOs. I still haven't gone through my LOs, so I'm planning to make the high res jpgs and then delete the PSDs.

I have loads of space, copied a few things to the other IHD (I have dual internal hard drives that are 250 GB each, so I am going to use the second as a back up/mirror drive of sorts for important stuff, as well as the EHD).

I just updated my ACDSee and my computer is humming along, as well, ACDSee isn't acting a fool anymore.

Yay for Fall-tidying! And now, I'm READY for DSD to fill that sucker up again LOLOLOL

you inspired me to purge my SP and DDE collecions; I still have Shabby Princess's first kit, and I could NOT part with that, but I did away with a lot of her stuff that I haven't used in say two years, lol.

I deleted a bunch of old half finished layouts, as well as some of the mini books I've already had printed. Hard to let go of some stuff, but it feels so much better.

Now I have room for MORE sweet stuff.

When you say "purge" does that mean you deleted them without backing them up? I know that there are tons of things I could delete that either I haven't used or know that I won't use again, but it's HARD to hit that delete button!

I mean, I deleted, as in gone forever. I looked at it and there are kits I bought a year ago I have not used! And you know that scrapping has changed a lot since then.

I have a few 1/2 finished LOs that need purging too, so that's next on my list. I'm about to back up to DVD now.

The way I tried to look at it is, I may have bought it, but that doesn't mean I need it forever. I also bought those Hammer pants back in the 90s, but I didn't keep those

Can I hire you to do mine? lol I don't need to purge since I lost everything a few months ago, but I do need to tag a TON of stuff that I've purchased since then and I just don't have the desire to do it... even though I know it would make my life so much easier.

Congrats girlie... I bet it feels really good.

LMAO @ Hammer Pants!!

Way to go girl!! I've gotten better at deleting stuff since I don't have that much space on the HD here at work. So since I've gotten used to deleting things here, it makes it easier at home with the WHOLE stash, kwim?

Woohoo!!! You feel lighter? I so need to do some more purging/reorganizing. I don't see a time for it at all in the near future though. Maybe a post-Christmas activity.

Oh I love purging! I need to go through my layouts, but I'm scared. I do have mini books/albums and things that I really should delete. Why do I keep them? I don't know. Anyway, way to go!

I HAD to. I couldn't scrap, my ACDSee was a mess, my PS was acting weird, so I had to take a couple of days to work on it. Now, tonight, I should be able to scrap annoyance free LOL
