I think you'd be awesome at either professions. I mean, you LOVE nursing and policing is in your blood so... they're both good choices.
For what its worth, I'd have to say that nursing suits you more. You think you've met some jaded nurses.... just wait until you're a cop ya know?

Lizzy, all I have to offer is my advice after living this long,lol. Follow your Bliss. There's no sense in working in a job that you wouldn't be happy in; life's too short for that.

I agree with everyone, make sure it's something you really want to do with all the school and time your investing in it. What is it about being a cop that you like? Do you not want to be a nurse anymore? Your interests changed over time?
I'm kinda in the same boat here, I'm at the crossroads right now with my career. I'm working half time with another dept while doing my regular job. I just talked with my other boss about making my rotation a permanent one and we went through the "what do you want to do?" bit. Ack! I really wanna be a graphic designer but school scares me. Plus I don't know what kind of opportunity is out there, there's a lot of design firms in the bay area but lots of competition as well.
