Default Has anyone scrapped an actual baby book?

I don't mean a scrapbook, but an actual baby book with all of the usual baby book stuff (significant dates, pieces of hair, etc).

I have an awesome Baby's First Year (and working on the Second Year) book for Wesley... I digi scrapped all of the pages, had them printed, and put them into 2 8x8" scrapbooks. One is months 1-6, and the second one is months 7-12. They have both the big milestones and a lot of the day to day details in them, and really are scrapbooks - not baby books.

I'm thinking about taking Wesley's baby book (it's just a regular 'ole baby book that came from Target or somewhere) and totally revamping it - designing my own pages and putting a spin on the usual stuff (like which teeth he got when, and in what order, vaccine dates, what words he said in what order, etc, etc). I'm thinking that all of the pages would be the same theme/kit and it would be probably 15 - 20 pages max. for the first year because I don't want it to be a duplicate of the Baby's First Year scrapbook that I have. And of course I wanna use my new custom font from Darcy so that I can "write" on all of the pages.

Has anyone done anything like this, or seen anything like this? Any cool ideas for something like this?

I used to do these all the time when I was a paper scrapper (I did scrap-4-hire). Check out www.twopeasinabucket.com. Their digital AND their paper galleries. Great ideas there...

I was apart of the Baby's First Year book that they started last spring (or what it 2 yrs ago?) but it fizzled out after a few weeks... I might dig around and see what I can find now.

My mom is working on a paper scrapbook/baby book for my cousin.
It has all the elements for a traditional baby book plus scrapbook pages in it as well.

I did about 3 years ago for my sister in law and had it printed through My Publisher. Way back then I actually made a lot of the papers and elements for the book. Unfortunately she had him still born at 37 weeks and I think she actually destroyed the book (totally understandable) and when she finally got pregnant again I didn't have the heart to ask her if she wanted another one. So I'm not sure how it would have actually turn out (writing in it and pasting pictures) or how it would have "lasted".

I just dug up some of the photo so you can kind of see what I did....I keep it the same "theme" (blue color and boy things cause that was what she was having) except for I did do themed pages for like the first Halloween, first Christmas ect....... These are god awful...but remember they were from April of 2006 and I had only been scrapping for about 6 months And the style has changed a lot since then!!!!

Hope this helps you a bit!!!

I also wanted to add that I just counted and it was 40 pages long!!! But I included a page for every "month" and since you have a book like that there would be at least 12 pages you wouldn't need!!!
