before I lose my mind.. I need help. Anything or advice you can give. I'm sure I've tried nearly everything to help my little guy but I'm starting to become a little lost. He has been teething since just before three months.. he is currently working on his second molar. He is 11 months old and this is his 10th tooth. At least soon they will all be in and then the teething will be over with but still.
I've tried hylands, motrin, teething necklace.. I just am so sad for him because I know he is in pain from them ![]() So if there is some secret remedy or something please share with me! LOL! |

Jack Daniels.
![]() I also used to get a corner of a washcloth wet, and freeze it, and then she would chew on that, it seemed to help her a little bit. Have you tried alternating tylenol and motrin every 4 hours? My dentist has recommended that for regular tooth pain, so I would assume it would work for teething, and the ped has had me do it with the kids for other things.

I used to freeze bagels in the freezer and give a quarter of one to my kids when they were teething. It soothed their gums and gave them a little snack in the process. lol

hylands. alternating motrin/tylenol and frozen washcloths. popsicles (best given IN the bathtub - seriously!)
Orajel at times, but the crying to administer said orajel was worse than the teething crying.

(((Hugs))) to you and your sweet boy Kristin. I wish I could offer some advice. My girls were pretty good teethers, baby tylenol usually did the trick for us. Hope it gets better quickly.

![]() ![]() Do you have one of these or access to one (I got mine at walmart in the baby food isle). Pop an ice cube in it and let him got to town...it's the only thing that helped me and my santiy when my little man is teething!!!!

Teething Tablets! They are amazing...they really really work! I also would take an ice cube and wrap a baby washcloth around it and secure it with a hairtie. It doesn't freeze their poor little hands and gums, cuz it's more sucking (which is soothing) than chewing. In an absolutely desperate moment did like Sara and tried the Jack Daniels thing....yep it worked...but I felt so guilty I couldnt bring myself to do it again!

take a washcloth and wet half of it and then freeze it in the freezer. The texture from the washcloth and the freezing work like a charm and since only half of it is cold they hang onto it longer!!!

On the bad days, I alternate Tylenol & Motrin every 4 hours. Chewing on those mesh feeders works well, with frozen grapes inside them (they don't freeze as hard as ice cubes do - ice can cause injury to gums) with my son we used frozen mini-bagels.

I know you said you've tried the hyland's, but how are you giving them to him? The bottle says to dissolve them in water. I did that once and Ava swallowed it. Not sure how it was supposed to help her teeth... it just numbed her tongue and throat, lol!
Since the first time of dissolving them, I've started just giving them to her straight. They dissolve the second they hit the tongue. I would hold the tablets down, one at a time, right on the molar he's working on (I'd use 2). That should help numb it pretty good.

Thanks for the advice girls - I'm definately going to try the mesh with ice/grapes. I haven't tried that yet!
I do give the hylands directly without dissolving. His last teeth weren't too too bad but I just think maybe with these ones being molars its giving him a bit of trouble. I don't remember teething being this awful with lily but she also wasn't constantly teething like he is. It seems as though as soon as one is through he starts working on another one! |

TEETHING TABLETS!! while I alternate Tylenol & Motrin every 4 hours.. the tablets are all natural and work wonders and its okay to have at the same time as other medications!
![]() ![]() Raw carrots work too.. those mesh things with frozen fruit!! ![]()

I don't know if it's available where you live but we use something called ambesol its amazing stuff for adults and kids. Teething gel was always pointless since Lukas liked the banana taste and just licked it off and numbed his tongue lol. Hope you find something that works soon. Hugs Crystal xx
