LOL, men can be so clueless sometimes. I'm not really into the celebrity gossip type stuff, but I do usually hear when someone famous dies. Like when Travolta's son died, DH saw that on a tabloid and thought it was a joke...I was like, um, no...that really did happen last week.

and I thought it was bad that my hubby didn't know Paul Newman had died! he had to make some stupid joke, of course -- "what?! and I didn't even get a chance to try his spaghetti sauce..."
