Default Help/advice needed?

I have had a cold for a few days now. The cold was getting alot better...almost gone actually. I was feeling almost back to normal until today. I blew my nose and felt a pop in my ear. It didnt really hurt then but it made it so I couldnt really hear in my right ear. I figured it would clear up but it didnt. Now my ear is literally throbbing and I cannot even touch it it hurts so bad. I DO NOT want to go to the emergency room. Ill go to the urgent care as soon as they open in the morning but is there anything I can do to make it stop hurting in the meantime? Or even ease up a little? Ive taken some tylenol and used a heating pad. Heating pad did not help and the tylenol is not helping either.

Doctor always used to reccomend a few drops of warm olive oil, me and Lukas get lots of ear infections and that was the only thing that helped. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs Crystal xx

I went to the pharmacy and bought some ear drops that are recomended for ear ache relief until I can get in to the doctor. They seem to have eased thee pain a tad but it keeps popping and everytime it pops the pain comes back. Doctor doesnt open until 10:00 so I still have nearly an hour. Im ggoing to leave in about 20 minute though...kinda hoping the doctor gets in early. Ive had ear infections in the past (like maybe two or three in my whole life). Ive never had one that hurts this bad though. OMGosh this thing was sooo flippin painful. Couldnt even lay down last night and go to sleep so Im also so tired this morning. Hoping it is just a simple ear infection & Ill just need aa few days antibiotics

Oh my gosh, that sounds horrible!! Hopefully you get some relief soon. I can't remember ever having an ear infection so I'm no help.

Thanks!! Got into the doctors and he said that he thinks the eardrum is perforated (sp?). It started draining fluids and it kinda looked like they were tinged with blood which is defenitely a first for me. Cant wait for this to just go away.

defenitely not fun LOL. I never knew that just blowing your nose could cause your eardrum to rupture. And defenitely never knew it would hurt sooo much!! I feel alot better today though. It isnt hurting much now that I have some pain relievers and antibiotics.
