Default Entry DSRL camera?

Although I just bought a Canon Powershot G10 camera, I am thinking of buying an entry DSRL camera. I went throught some reviews and with the budget I have I am thinking about the Canon EOS 450D / Digital Rebel XSi ( I think it's called that way in the States? It's the same camera.

I was wondering if any of you has experiences with this camera or that you have advice for me?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same camera...only the model just before that, the Rebel XT and I mine. It my baby. I've had it for 3 years and it is a great starter camera. That is what mine was. I'm a Canon girl so I'm a little biased but I really think that you will like it. It takes great pictures in manual mode and then it has all the features if you are planning to learn manual. Good luck and enjoy!

What lenses do you have with that camera? I saw this one as well and if this is almost as good as the Rebel XSi... I could get a second lens to go with it for the same price as the Rebel XSi....

I have the Canon XTi (which is the model between the XT and the XSi) and it! My two most used lenses are the 50mm f/1.8 and the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, I never use the 18-55 mm kit lens that comes with most of the camera kits. I know a lot of people do use it and like it, but I never cared for it so it just sits on a shelf.

I just bought the Xsi a couple months ago and I love it. It takes beautiful pictures. I have the 50mm f/1.8 lens that I use all the time. I need to take the plunge and get another lens but can't decide what I really want. I moved up from the Canon G9.
