I really liked The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Everybody else has listed the others that I liked too
 . Marley and Me was REALLY good, but be prepared to have a huge box of kleenex. I was shocked to see my DH crying (not just teary but actually CRYING)... he said that it reminded him of what happened to his dog when he was 18  . Poor DH...These ones aren't new releases anymore so maybe you've already seen them: Secret Life of Bees Dan in Real Life
