Question How do you make animated gifs?

I'm posting for my 13yo ds. Brian wants to know HOW to make animated gifs such as the ones in the siggys.

Is there a TUT somewhere? It doesn't have to be specifically for a siggy...he's just wanting to know how to do it. Can PSE do this?

Thanks.

Yes you can do it in PSE. Just make each layer it's own thing because when you animate it, each layer is a different "slide" in the animation. Save for web, change the file type to .gif, then check the animate box. Towards the bottom, you can play with the time delay, etc.

Yep! I used to do it in PSE (it's way easier in CS4, but still doable in PSE). It just takes a little practice to get the timing just right from layer to layer.

Ditto what they said. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of using the layers to animate it. It's like making a flip book.

I use Animation Shop 3. It used to come bundled with PSP.

I use the animation in CS3, I used to use Image Ready with older versions of PS.
