When do you scrap?

I'm changing up my schedule at bit, to fit in more work during the day and this means that my only scrap time will be at night, after the kids are in bed.

I don't mind, but I do find that I'm much more focused and creative in the morning... thus why I need to work then, LOL! I'm also reserving naptime for work, now that I have two kids in school, it's the best chunk of time each day to really get things done.

So I was just curious... are most of you night scrappers or do you fit it in during the day?

I do the majority of mine in the evenings after the kids go to bed. I try to sneak some in during my 2 y/o's naptime in the afternoons but since my 5 y/o doesn't nap anymore I don't get that uninterrupted time like I used to get. I'm much more productive in the evenings after the kids go to bed. Dh knows not to bother me when I'm scrapping.

I work full-time outside the home, so my only scrap time is in the evenings, but even then, I often work at home at night after the kids are in bed. So really, my only scrap time is on the weekends. I wish I had more time to do it actually. I've been missing it lately.

I scrap every moment I can ... unless no mojo and then I'm usually crocheting and watching movies.

I have a laptop so I take it everywhere I go. My one son goes to public school 5x a week for just under 2 hours ... so I take my 8th grader with me and we generally go to Borders down the road with our laptops. He works on his schoolwork and I scrap...and enjoy a Vanilla Latte during the time.

I take the laptop to in-laws house when we go (dh is prone to spend hours there), to bowling league, to Borders 5x a week, to robotics (have 1 1/2 hours to scrap in the van when we go 4 times a week), and on all trips. It's an obsession ... and it keeps me from shopping in the malls. lol dh likes me scrapping in the van on trips...says it keeps down my chatter. lol

It's the only way I could hit my goal of 500 layouts a year ...

I scrap only at night when my 3 kids are sleeping and my DH is going off to bed too around 10-11pm

night scrapper here! I use my laptop, and have been scrapping directly from the little touchpad mouse for so long it doesn't even slow me down anymore!

So I sit on the couch, next to DH, and we watch our TV shows while I scrap.

I am a day time scrapper mostly. My youngest is 12 so, I have my days at home to myself. I usually scrap a page in the morning and a page or two in the afternoon after my nap and before DD #3 gets home from school. I will sometimes scrap late in the evening after 8 pm if there is nothing else going on or no one needs me.

I just have a 5mo, but she's not a particularly good napper, so I don't count on scrapping much during the day though I do fit it in time to time. Unless I have a really clear idea of what I'm doing with a page, I have a hard time doing it in spurts over the course of several hours, so I mostly just surf and check msg boards during the day.

I'm a night owl, anyways, so once she goes to bed, I try to do a least one page a night. Sleeping seems like such a 'waste' when I finally get time to myself, kwim? I've been staying up until midnight or 1 am most nights so I can watch some TV and scrap and then get 5-6 hours of sleep before she is up the next day.

If I have a CT deadline, I work when I can through out the day... usually when kiddo is taking a nap... otherwise for just me scrapping, it's at night after kiddo goes to bed.

I only scrap after the kids go to bed, unless I have a CT thing that needs doing right that moment. I work in the mornings mostly, because all three kids are gone for 3 hours, so I scrap in the evenings after the kids go to bed. The only problem is, like you I'm most creative in the mornings, so my pages take longer to make because I'm too tired to think in the night times.

With only 1 child at home now I scrap pretty much whenever I want to. He just snuggles up to me playing xbox or something while i scrap away. Though I still wish I was better at this whole scrapping thing.

I mainly scrap at night when both my children and my husband are in bed. On occassion, I will get some done during the day.

Whenever I can. If I have to work in the day, I'll get on at night, and vise versa. Sometimes I have no mojo...so I surf a little and then turn it off. Sometimes I'll start one in the morning, come back to it later and maybe finish it the next day. There are no little ones at home so I can really do it whenever I'm not at work.

From about 1PM till about 3PM which is when both my littlest ones are napping. I'm so sad it so little but I'm sure as my baby gets older I'll get more time!!!

I am not a night person so scrapping in the evening rarely works for me. I scrap the most on weekends. Sometimes I'll scrap Thursday afternoons (after our homeschool coop) or Friday morning if we skip Friday school.

I got a lot more pages done when I was able to scrap in the mornings.

I'm useless before 10am for anything more than email responding and blog reading. I don't really have Tweet much before then, let alone scrap. And oh yeah, I work outside the home. I have done one layout from work w/ GIMP but I can't say it was fun. I scrap mostly after 9pm.

after the kids are in bed and nap time... although Moriah seems to be giving up her nap time lately, but she seems pretty content with some quiet time... the afternoon is when I'm best creatively... the evenings I get distracted by my hubby and/or TV.

Only at night. Maybe once a week I'll get lucky and there will be an hour during the day when Lauren is napping, the boys are at school, and nothing needs to be done around the house. It's happening less and less often as she gets older.

afternoons after hubby goes to work when I just have one little guy at home, after the kids get their homework done and are watching TV or playing games, and in the evening when the kids are in bed, before hubby gets home from work (11pm). I also have weekends to do what I want, since hubby is home and get the kids. lol Thankfully they aren't so demanding of us, we have raised some independent kiddos who like their space or playing with their siblings, over spending time with us. We must be pretty boring. lol

I have no children, but I have a full-time job and usually come home late, so I'm a night scrapper. I think I'd be like that anyway, because I'm this owl-type of person that is active on late afternoons and in the evenings. So even during weekends or free days scrapping is a night activity.

So, when I feel like scrapping, I spend the evening (sometimes until 1 a.m.) with my laptop sitting on the sofa and listening to music (I don't have a TV, so there). I can tell you it's really hard to get up the next morning! :-)

Off and on all day whenever I can get chance lol...usually I'll start a page in the am and then work on it in intervals all day...mostly finishing up during DD's afternoon nap. I usually don't scrap much after DH gets home b/c we try to unplug from everything computerelated by about 8 pm and watch TV together or something. I only scrap at night if I have a CT page I need to get done or if DH is traveling.

Back when we did naps and quiet time I'd scrap during the day. But now I just can't pull it off... like technically this second I could be scrapping but I prefer to do a page from start to finish in one sitting. No now I scrap at night (on my laptop, still getting used to that) or during the weekend if dh is occupying the girls.

I had to leave my CT's when my 3 yo stopped napping and I started homeschool kindergarten with my now 6 yo. I got a lot more scrapping done when I could do it during the day!

i'm very scattered. about everything, not just scrapping . i'm a SAHM so i scrap whenever the mood strikes me. atleast lately. my housework has been suffering lately too, lol.

i scrap at night after my 4yr old goes to bed. i used to scrap during naptime, but that ended over a year ago. he goes to bed pretty early though, so i usually have plenty of time to get stuff done. (for example, normal bedtime is 7pm...last night he asked to go to bed at 6:15 -- strange child but i'm not complaining).
