forgive me for totally crashing your thread but my college girlfriends and I get together every summer in Chicago. We used to go downtown - could always get a sweet hotel for $80 on priceline. We've been going to Woodfield area lately though and this past summer stayed at Staybridge Suites - two bedrooms and a kitchen/living area for undder $150.

You guys will have a blast! I love the whole Chicago-land area!

This sounds so fun! I'd definitely be in if I am at home that weekend. What about going to the Cheesecake Factory or something that's not found in smaller towns or "micro urban" places like where Emmy and I live.

I just got the go ahead from DH that we can swing through Chicago on the way home from my mom's. It's quite a detour, but yay! Plus my kids are a lot older now, they will enjoy it more. Totally stoked to take the girls to American Girl Place!!!!

Will update on dates once I know!
