How are your calendars coming along?

I'm SO happy that I ordered my calendars last night. Whew! What a load off. With everything going on in my life right now, I just ran out of time to create new pages. I was stressing myself out trying to make time to get them done, so I finally gave myself an easy out. I just used layouts that I'd already created throughout the year. The grandparents will never know the difference, and I don't have to worry about trying to force the creativity when it's just not flowing.

For those of you who are curious, I ended up going with the Cafe Press 11x17 calendars. I chose this one because I could use my square layouts since that's what I usually scrap. Plus, I ordered from Cafe Press last year, and the quality was EXCELLENT.

I can't wait to get them in! I'm so glad I went this route this year!!!

Me....I am such a slacker this year! I don't think mine are gonna get done....Unless, now... I may check out the way you did yours...that looks like an easy option....and like ya said...they will never know the difference.

Oh, it WAS easy, Tracey! I didn't have to resize my layouts or anything (I always save a 12x12 highes JPG, and you can resize once you've uploaded if you want to). It literally took maybe 2 hrs tops to get all of my layouts uploaded and the order placed. And I didn't have to create new pages. I'm really excited about it!

You've got until Dec 9 to order from Cafe Press with economy shipping in time for Christmas. You can order later, but you'll end up paying more for shipping.

I got my cards and 1 calendar ordered last night. I took the same calendar and saved it 3 times with different names. So now we have a master calendar, and eachof our families has a calendar wtih the special dates that pertain them. I'm hoping it goes over well, lol. I only ordered 1 since shipping was getting a little expensive. Of course I wake up this morning with an email from them saying that if I order my other calendars, I'll get free shipping! :lol So I'm excited about that.

funny that you should ask... I'm working on that this morning. I'm just taking some of my layouts and altering them to the 8.5x11" size for a shutterfly calendar. I have 2 free Shutterfly calendar coupons, so I am using them this year.

Last year I had more time and used Robin Carlton and Christy Lyle's 365 Collection to do the calendar. I seriously had dozens of people think it was the cutest thing they had every seen. The quality of Robin and Christy's colleciton is so awesome! And last year I printed them from Winkflash and the printing quality was wonderful.

I did mine with Vistaprint.ca, because I'm so late getting on the ball, I needed something that printed in this country. Never done a calendar before, so I hope they don't suck! LOL

I ordered the first of five last night. Now all I have to do is change out my photos for the others, but I'm waiting till after Christmas so that I can include pics of the extended family for the great-grandparents.

I used Teresa's 8.5x11 Smarties and lots of goodies from the Quarterly assortment, which made it go really fast. But I have to wait till the end of January to get mine.

My calendars from CafePress arrived today (yes, I just ordered Friday night!!!). They look GREAT! If anyone is still waiting to order, I just have to reiterate that CafePress *rocks*!!!

Good to know Libby, post some pics!! I wasn't all that impressed with my shutterfly calendar. But such is life. They also screwed up and bound someone else's calendar with mine. Still waiting to hear what they want me to do about htat, lol.

UGH! That's gotta be frustrating! Hope they straighten it out and SOON for you.

Here's a quick crappy pic of my calendars. Nevermind the bad lighting and weird angle from which I'm shooting. At least it gives you an idea of what it looks like. I included one calendar closed so you can see the cover and another opened to a random month so that you can see how it printed. The whole thing measures 11x17. My layout is 11x11.

So what didn't impress you by the Shutterfly ones?? I'm worried about ordering from them now But mine are free, but I still want them to turn out!

Oh wow that's way cool Libby! I love that! I like that you could scrap a square topper!

Julie I just don't really like how my toppers came out. I used Penny's 08 toppers and loved them, but stuff got cut off even more than what the guides showed. And by the time I got them all finished it was too late to try and mess with them again. My big ambitious plan is to work on the toppers throughout the year so if I have any mess ups like that in the future, I'll have time to change them. Although we'll see how that goes, lol. I technically started these in November and didn't get near as far as I wanted to, lol.

I heard back from Shutterfly and they are reprinting my calendar for free, which is pretty darn awesome. So I'll just take apart this funky one and use it here at work. I paid $33 for 96 cards, and 4 calendars, lol. (Free codes on ebay rock my socks)

I haven't even started my calendars yet, yikes!! the good thing is we own a printing/copying shop - so when i get them laid out i can have them back next day!! yay!

I ordered mine from Shutterfly. Thank goodness for Dani's calendar quick pages!

I was a slacker and had my dd go through all of the pictures and pick out each months. Surprisingly, the colors on the pictures were great for each page, you'd think that she looked at each month ahead of time.
