Default I need book suggestions!!

Ok, ladies, I need some book suggestions!! I love the Stephanie Plum novels, anything Jonathan Kellerman, the Twilight series, and am on my 6th Scott Westerfeld novel. I read the whole Uglies series, and am reading the Peeps sequel. Those 6 are in under 3 weeks! LOL Oh, and I LOVE, LOVE Linda Fairstein's books but, I;m all caught up on those.

So, what else, in those lines can you recommend? I'll be making a trip to the library this weekend and don't know what to get yet!

I'm a murder-mystery junkie. My go to Authors are Clive Cussler, James Patterson, Michael Connelly, Nelson DeMille. Tom Clancy is an all-time fave, but he hasn't released a new book in the Jack Ryan (Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, etc) series in FOREVER. I've read a few by Sandra Brown that were good as well. Michael Connelly is a new favorite, and I'm slowly working my way through all his books.

I love chick lit. I'm reading Something Blue by Emily Griffin. Read Something Borrowed first. Jennifer Weiner is great as is Sopie Kinsella - The Shopaholic Series is a good one as well.

I love Kathy Reichs - her books are what the series "Bones" on FOX is based on.

I've also read the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series as well, but be warned - there is a lot of sex in those books. A LOT. Laurell K. Hamilton writes those.

The Outlander series is good, too, for Historical Romance.

Also - Time Travelers Wife, Lovely Bones, The Glass Castle - all good reads. Oh, the Red Tent, Nanny Diaries, the Devil Wears Prada....

Can you tell I ♥ Reading.

OH! I'm so gonna have to check out Kathy Reichs! I love Bones

I loved the Time Traveler's Wife.
I keep forgetting about The Outlander Series.
I've read a bunch of Jennifer Weiner's books and really liked them.

I also was going to recommend House of Night.

Also, if you are interested in futuristic kind of novels, like the Uglies series, you could try Terry Pratchett's discworld series.

If you want vampire-themed romance, you can't really beat Linsay Sands.

Then, just to throw out my personal faves (not sure if these are in your chosen genre or not, but they're pretty cool novels), anything by Haruki Murakami pretty much rocks my socks. He's very... different, in a cool way. One book (Kafka on the Shore) has a guy who talks to cats- and they talk back. Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World was good, too. The books are a bit harder to follow, because the chapter one is one character, chapter two is another, chapter three is back to the first character, etc. The stories always intersect, though. Definitely cool books.

Have you read anything by Jonathan's wife Faye? I really like her Peter Decker books.

I also just finished a series by James Patterson called Maximum Ride. I think it was originally supposed to be geared to teens, it's well written.

I love Kathey Reichs though, Bones, the show is VERY loosely based on the books. I also love Sandra Brown! I have read some of the alphabet series, I need to get more of those! I resisted them for a long time! LOL
I have the first House of Night book waiting to be transfered to my Ipod. And my SIL has the first few. I also loved The Lovely Bones though, it took me a few years to read! Well, I tried when it first came out and just couldn't do it then, my aunt gave it to me about a month ago and I read it.

I just have to find these at the library, I didn't realized until I gathered them last night, I've read 9 books in the last month. No way can I support a scrapping and book addiction!! LMAO!

Thanks girls, I'll be making a list to take with me to the library! Not sure yet if I'm going today or tomorrow. Today, I have to take DS with me, tomorrow, he can stay home with dad!! LOL

I'm reading these now too and I'm on about book number 5 or 6. My dh just started book one because he was getting tired of all his fantasy books. He's enjoying it too. I think they're really fun!

I also read all of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward.

Warning though...I do consider these my vampire porn books. I usually read historical fiction or some kind of memoir. These were a little different for me, but I can't wait for the new one to come out this month! (I'm an adult, right? LOL)
