A Newbie with some questions...

I recently discovered some of the designers here at the shoppe. I have been a long time fan of Cindy Schneiders, so I have a ton of her templates. I wanted to post some of my LOs to the gallery, but since I dont have any "kits" yet, I posted a couple of LOs that I used Cindys templates for. I hope this is ok?

Also, I have been doing P365 this year, and again, I'd love to share, but my LOs dont consist of sweet shoppe products (yet!!) Can I participate in this thread even though my LOs are (gasp!) foreign to Sweet shoppe? LOL

I'm sure Robin or one of the designers/Babes can answer this better. But, I would think that since you're using Cindy's templates, you are using SSD product.

Hi, I think that if you've used Cindy's templates and they are ones that she has rereleased in our shop then you'll be able to put them in the gallery but if your layouts don't include any Sweet Shoppe products then they shouldn't really be in there

Right, I was just concerned because as of right now, all I have are Cindy's templates to use from here at SSD. I didnt want to step on any toes or get in trouble for not having 100% SSD products. Thanks

I think it would be ok to share your LO's in the thread, but you can't upload them to the gallery to do so.

You don't have to use 100% SSD product, but the majority of it should be SSD.

Hey Kristin!!

It's okay to post LOs using my templates and non-SSD products, if they are available in the shop ( I will be reeleasing all of them over time). Just make sure to credit them because some people do check the galleries once in a while, and if they see a LO with non-SSD stuff and dont' recognize that's it's one of my templates then you may get a request to delete it
Glad you joined us here at the Sweet Shoppe.....there are so many amazing designers in the store, once you start playing with the kits here, it's addicting.....they are awesome

Awesome, thanks so much. I actually have just uploaded some LOs with your template sets 1-5...so I guess I should delete them until you get them uploaded here?

If you've already uploaded them, don't worry about deleting them.....maybe just hold off on any of my other older templates though

Oh, I should mention that generally LOs in the gallery should include mostly SSD products, but the exception to this is when any templates are used (Janet's or mine) or Darcy's fonts

Thank you Cindy for the information. I read the gallery rules and thought it would be ok. Was just concerned that I wasnt using a SSD kit along with your templates.....

And I also want to thank you for the sweet gallery comments. It makes me feel good and encourages me when designers comment on my LOs using their kits/templates, etc. There are some designers I really LOVE, but it kinda bums me out when they NEVER take the time to comment, even just now and then. Thank you.

I never knew it was ok to upload layouts that only contain templates or Darcy's fonts. I always thought it borderline to see layouts with just the font from SSD.

Anyway, Kristen, welcome to SSD. And I just wanted to mention that there are lots of galleries that aren't related to any store specifically where you can upload any of your layouts without ever having to wonder about this question (i.e. digisthoptalk, myscrapbookart etc.). It's free and many sweetshoppers upload their layouts there as well.

Yes, as long as they are loaded into that designer's gallery if it's only using that designer's product (Janet's template but other stores' products) or only a font of mine (and needs to be useful useage, not a little date).
