Bamboo tablet help needed

I got my bamboo tablet the other day, am really happy with it, too, but there seems to be a problem with the installation. Every time I want to use it after I restarted the computer, I have to install the driver software again, otherwise it won't work. Am I missing something when I install it? (I have a Macbook, running on Tiger OSX)
