Default How would you scrap ...

a pretend friend? My son's pretend friend's name is Alex and Alex has a complex personal history and whole pretend family of his own. I want to scrap about him and record a bunch of stuff Jamin says about their friendship. Any creative ideas about how to approach it?

I think it would be cool to use an acrylic person shape. . . to give a visual for imaginary friend.

I think I would have him draw pictures of his pretend friend and his friend's family and use those as photos in the layout.

Does he ever draw this pretend friend? If so you could use his drawing as the picture.

since you don't have a photo of him... maybe have your son draw of photo and scan it... so you'll be able to record how your son sees his friend.

The acrylic friend is a fun idea ... my first thought was to use something like the As If kit by Fee ... and change the opacity to kind of make him transparent ...

See, I knew you all would be full of great ideas! I'm going to see if I can convince my son to draw him, otherwise I'll go the acrylic or one of the cute boy drawings in the store. Thanks a ton!

I never could get Landen to draw Wilba-yes that was his name-he was constantly changing sizes...we haven't seen or heard from good ole Wilba in months.
I need to scrap him! I like KCB's kit suggestion.

I love the idea of the acrylic friend or having him draw his friend...you could also go with an empty frame...I don't see too many LOs with them, but they are always eye-catching (to me anyway LOL)

that will be so cute Misty! Jacob (who is now 19) had an imaginary friend when he was like 3-4 years old. I only remember her name was Bareena. I wish I had been into scrapping back then because it was just so precious and I wish I could remember it all. Great suggestions from everyone!

I really want to scrap my brother's imaginary dog... he said it was his Grandpa Al's (who he never met, and the grandpa he described was quite different from the one in real life), and that the dog was a green dog named Angry. How am I supposed to find a green dog? He never drew him, and grew out of him before I started scrapping. Too bad.

This thread also inspires me to scrap about my childhood imaginary friend, Becky.
