The mouth noise is pretty close to fingernails across a blackboard for me. My daughter early on decided to eat with her mouth open (maybe her sinuses were blocked up, I don't know) but now she makes the wettest noises when she eats and I have to tell her to leave the room when she does. She finally realized how loud she WAS when she recorded herself chewing one day, and was surprised at the loudness. She's still pretty noisy, though. I really hope she doesn't eat like that around her friends. If she does, I hope THEY tell how disgusting it sounds.

I really can't stand it.

OK, end of grammar lesson. Stepping down off my soap-box now.
I'll join you on this one. I know people write the way they hear it, but writing "should of" "would of" etc simply makes you look like an uneducated buffoon. And I know people who write that on the internet and I *know* they're not stupid. Drives me nuts.

Oh, and drivers on the road that decided to race you, because they don't want to ever ever let you pass them no matter what. And drivers that cut you off or decided to honk at you at a light while you're waiting for oncoming traffic to finish when you're turning left. (had that happen to me this morning)

Yeah. People bug me, but not so much that I hate them. Only some of them.

For me I think it's grammar to.....in Dutch then, hahaha.
I think I might make lots of mistakes in English still, but even I know that it's you and me and not you and I... YEAH, I pass!

We never have to call a repairman and he never makes me feel stupid because I do not understand something about plumbing or wiring or construction or the car. He will take as much time as needed to explain it to me. And never gets annoyed because it comes so simple to him but might not to another person. But he CANNOT write for a darn. Does not know punctuation. Uses semi-colons, commas and periods in random places. Does not spell well. Will use there for all three. It does not bother me. It also does not bother me when I see other people doing it because MAYBE they do NOT know the difference and just do not write well. So my pet peeve for the day is for people who cannot tolerate people who do not have a good grasp on the use or words and punctuation because they simply are not good at it. The way I look at it if I CAN UNDERSTAND what they are telling me thats good enough. After living with my husband who I believe has a learning disability and my son who has been diagnosed with a learning disability and seeing how difficult writing is for both of them picking on little things like that to me is hurtful.

AT least it is hurtful to me FOR those I love who are known to offend many of the things listed on here
I understand that there are learning disabilities that make it difficult, if not impossible, for people to communicate. I also understand language barriers. I would never correct or judge someone in an everyday conversation or email by their misuse of words as long as I get their meaning.

When I'm peeved about grammar, it is specifically in print material for business purposes or when having a professional conversation with someone who is expected to have a grasp upon grammatical concepts. Business ads, menu, court filings and documents of the such. If you making something to promote your business or you are filing something in the courts or things of that nature, I absolutely expect you to put punctuation in the proper place and use the right word. That's your job. But having a chat with me, not so much.

Yup, I agree. My pet peeve was directed at people who make these errors in ads and business pages on facebook. My husband is dyslexic and I would never make fun of him for it or judge him for it... but I do admit that his complete lack of punctuation when he types does drive me crazy because reading through his paragraphs makes my brain want to explode... but I know he struggled to learn all the "rules" so I just get over the fact that it annoys me.

lololol

At least it's not like my youngest, who on some days just grosses me out completely, who would sometimes sit there and just let his nose run. Then I'm yelling - GO BLOW YOUR NOSE! (sounding JUST like my mother, but on the complete opposite end of the spectrum).

Kids.

haha you would hate to live with me then seriouesly I have thick thick hair and it falls out alot. I will find it on my husbands shirt on the car seats of course in my brush in the bathtub...everywhere. And it is worst when I brush it. It bugs me too because I get tired of picking it off of my shirt/pants/jackets.
