either one. you can cut the vinyl down to fit your cricut mat if you need to.

I don't know if this is helpful but I used contact paper in my cricuit to make my wall quotes. I chose a black "leather" (LOL) design. Very inexpensive. I think I may have bought it at the Home Depot. It went up like a dream. Stayed up for about a year on apartment walls until I took it down.

I bought mine at http://www.hhsignsupply.com. They did have end of the roll cuts for like 50 cents and I had my order within a day or two.

We've used contact paper before but we normally buy our vinyl from sign shops here in town. We do a lot of graphics for soap box derbys so it's better for us to buy the vinyl in large quantities.

I know you can buy the cricuit brand vinyl mainly anywhere the cricut is sold. I think it's expensive because you don't get that much vinyl for the money.

Yes, after I cut it out I just peeled off the backing and stuck it to the wall. I was amazed at how well it worked. Then when I moved I just peeled it off and tossed it out.

i used contact paper when i first got my cricut and it worked great. problem is now, i can't find solid colored contact paper anywhere. i guess i could look online for it. i was all excited about the sign company up above until i saw shipping prices.

I actually get my vinyl from a sign sign as well. I bought a roll of their transfer tape. It's only 6" wide though but it actually looks like masking tape but works great. I've also heard clear contact paper. Our Roberts now sells vinyl by the foot which is cheaper then the Cricut brand. But the sign shop was cheaper too
