Default I finally got an anniversary...
Married 11 years today, and we finally got to celebrate it together! (I'm sure we've been able to celebrate our anniversary at least once before this, but I honestly can't remember when that was. Sad huh). Nine times out of ten DH is away working or deployed (as he was last year for our 10 yr anniversary).

Anyway, I knew this year he would be home, so I told him we were definitely going to do SOMETHING. Not negotiable. LOL. My parents picked up our kids yesterday after school, and DH and I spent the night in a luxury hotel in the city. It was wonderful. We wandered around the shops (holding hands even! I felt like such a school girl), dined in ACTUAL restaurants for once, had valet parking, a divine breakfast and late checkout at the hotel. 24hrs later we are home again - he is watching the car racing and I'm back on the computer. After dinner tonight we're going to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I can't believe how fast 11 years goes by. He's a keeper though, and I love him more every day. Just wanted to share a little bit of my happiness with people who would understand.

Sounds like you had a great time! Congrats! Funny...I will be celebrating 11 years with my hubby on the 29th of this month! 11 years really does just fly by!!!

Congratulations Jacinda! So glad that you got to celebrate this year and spend some probably much-needed time alone together.

We'll be celebrating the same anniversary in June.
