Default No pictures please LOL

We went to the zoo today and this orangutan had the palm frawns covering his face. Just thought it was funny kinda like it was saying dont take any pictures.

Oh there was another one which I apparently did not take a picture of which had covered itself with a blanket so all you could see was its arms and legs

thanks Shawna ...I wasnt sure what it was. I did not see the sign outside of their area because it was one of the most crowded areas. There was one which was just acting like a big clown. He really loved the attention. That one though was covering their face with the palm frawns. There was also a momma and a baby. I got a picture of the baby climbing onto its moms back....sooo cute!!

The Orangutan's were mostly hiding out today so we didn't see too much of them, but the Chimpanzee's were being really playful today. There is a tiny baby Chimp that is SO darn cute and it was out today and was coming right up near the glass. There was also an older Chimp that kept coming up and pounding on the glass right near my son and he thought that was really funny!

these were taken at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Fl. It is an amazing zoo. It was the first time I had ever been there (that I can remember anyhow...might have went when I was a kid) and they had most of the animals where there was no glass/cages to interfere with pictures. I wish we lived closer because I would totally go more often! They even have a log flume ride, roller coaster and a huge kiddie park area for the kids to play. It is nothing like any zoo Ive ever been to.

That sounds like a fun zoo to visit! We've had a membership to our local zoo (Sedgwick County Zoo) for the last several years and it expires in a few days so we wanted to make one last trip before then since we don't have the $$ to renew it right now. We've visited several zoos over the years - Kansas City Zoo, Oklahoma City Zoo, San Antonio Zoo and Indianapolis Zoo and loved them all.

We have a membership to our local zoo as well. It is the central Florida Zoo. It is nice but its an older zoo so most if not all animals are in cages and most of the time kinda inactive. If we did not have that pass Im not sure I would have paid to go to the zoo today because admission there is over 20 dollars a person! We get half off because of our zoo membership though. Ive only been to the zoo in Tampa today, the Central Florida Zoo (many many times LOL) and the Brevard County Zoo which are all in Florida. Id like to someday make it down to the Miami Metro Zoo as well.
