I do remember 3 being the worst with Avery.

Right now she is just SO demanding...and stubborn when I say no. We are definitely having a clash of wills here lately...and clingy..she wants to be attached to me constantly. I'm not able to get anything done.

3 was always worse here too. I'm so glad that I'm done with that, except now, I have a cranky/hormonal 10 year old pre-teen, and an 8 year old going on 16, PMS and all LOL

I hear ya, and my kiddo isn't even 2 for another month! I know he's frustrated over not being able to communicate as well as he wants to, so I can understand those tantrums, but teaching him about sharing is doing my head in! He has a full on meltdown every time he doesn't get his own way all of a sudden! He's getting a new sister in 5 weeks so I'm hopeful that having to share on a daily basis will help, and make him a little less possessive over his things (including me!)

I'm thinking between 18 months & 4 1/2 is so trying...(especially with 2 of them in that category) Somedays I wonder what the heck I'm going to do to survive with my sanity...and then it's bedtime.

((hugs))

uh YEAH! my 6 year old eventually evened out but she was NEVER as crazy as my 2 & 3 year old. I swear they are like twins just 13 months apart! The 2 year old is a little bit better than the 3 year old. @ 3 Caliber is climbing jumping banging breaking ripping pooping peeing spilling messing talking screaming NOT listening and just outright a crazy boy fa sho. So now that big sister is out of school next week, I'm putting him in a part time preschool!!!!! He will go 5 days from 7am to 12pm... give this boy structure and some outlet for his nonstop energy! Hopefully I get him tuckered out in time for NAPTIME!! lol.

I'm hoping it'll do him some good, I'll have my girls at home with me (6 & 2) and he will get his little time away from his sisters. He's getting to the point where he wants to learn and ask questions, and while I am mom and want to be able to give him that time...its just tooo hard right now so I figured I'll put him in hands of professionals, lol.

Oh boy, can I ever relate to this. Mine is closer to three and I tremble hearing the stories of how bad 3 can be. We've only just begun....

I miss the terrible twos and threes compared to the teenage years. Especially with my youngest. I thought my daughter was bad as a teenager. Her brother is way worse...with his mouth at least. And he is only 14!

Ditto to the nth degree. How do you teach a 3yo respect? Is it possible?

I feel ya! Sounds exactly like what we're dealing with now.. Our's will be 2 next month and she's totally hit the terrible two's, totally stubborn and wanting to do everything by herself (dangerous stuff included) but is sooo clingy and climbs all over us. And 3 was the worst with our son too (now almost 6)..

Yes, totally agree, but now its 4 going on 18. She knows all! She won't shut up. She won't listen to anyone. I'm scared of what the teen years will be like with her.

Mine's almost two.

Thankfully, this is my last round of the terrible twos. I've been through it twice already, and it ain't fun.

Lauren is a pretty typical stubborn and tantrum-prone 2, but it's balanced by being so sweet and cute the rest of the time. Two I can deal with (and kind of love, truthfully). But 3 through 5...ugh! I'm just about at the end of my rope with my 5 year old.

Four is definately much better for me! But now he needs to be busy. Just playing on the floor with a few toys doesn't cut it anymore. I've started doing some homeschool curriculum with him as a supplement to feed his appetite for learning! Makes our days go MUCH better if Mommy has a bunch planned!

Don't get me wrong..she is the sweetest little thing ever most of the times...but she's definitely learning how she can push my buttons...but then she'll say something so cute I can't stand it and I find myself laughing at her. She's a little priss and learning that she's not the boss around here is hard on her lol

Avery like I said had a hard year at 3..but his Daddy was deployed too for that year plus I was pregnant..so it was hard on us both.

But he's my easy child..once he got through that phase I seriously hardly ever have trouble with him..he wants so much to please everyone. He's polite and he minds and follows the rules..seriously..all I have to do is tell him it's a rule and it's done lol.
Now he has his moments..but it takes no time to correct him. But he's always been an easy child.

Ella is a different story.

I hear ya. 3 was the worst to us both then she apparently became tired of pushing my buttons. hehee
We use to say here that from 2 to 4yo they're justing giving us a taste of what will come in the 'teen' years.

My 7 and 5 year olds are definitely not easy children, but for completely different reasons. I think Ben (my 5 year old) would be if we ever get past the sleep disorder and some other issues. Lauren is the closest I have to easy. She throws her tantrums, jumps on everything no matter how often we stop her, screams at the top of her lungs when she doesn't get her way, and spends all day trying to order the rest of us around. But that's all typical toddler stuff, and after what we've gone through with Jason and Ben behavior-wise, that thrills me! She's also so much more tuned into people than the boys were. Any time I seem sad (ie, nearly crying with frustration over her brothers, LOL) she gives me hugs and tells me that now I'll feel better.
