Default Any Marvel Nerds?

Have any of you seen XMen First Class yet? What did you think about it? I just got back from seeing it and I *loved* it. I'm not even kidding, it was amazing. I was really impressed by it...

I haven't seen the other X-Men films yet, though, and I was wondering if they're worth seeing???

ETA: It also totally threw me off to see Nicholas Hoult (he played Beast) without his British accent... I've only seen him in Skins before now. It was weird to see him in this. Lol.

Love X-Men! We haven't gone to see the new one yet, but the others are totally worth watching!

Okay, awesome. I'll netflix them. I've never really gotten into X-Men much... I mostly stick to Captain America, Iron Man, that sort of thing, but seeing this movie made me think I have to start watching the other X-Men movies!

Yes, you DEFINITELY need to see this one. I loved it. Of course, it doesn't really follow the comics because there's no specific comic prequel, but it helps out with a lot of the backstory and character motivation, which is what I'm into.

We're Marvel junkies here. The first two x-men were good. The last one was a little lame. We only buy movies we watch again and again and we didn't buy #3.... I haven't seen this one yet, but I'm hearing really good things from everyone who has seen it. I thought Thor was all right too. Looking forward to seeing Captain America =)

DH and I saw it last night and we thought it was okay but nothing spectacular. It kind of felt clunky to us. Sort of we need to get these characters to this point and we'll just wing it. Some of the cameos were fun but I like the other ones better.

I know what you mean about it being a little clunky at times. I simply really liked the action sequences, and I felt like the character development was really good. I wanted to really see and understand what made Magneto who he was, and same goes for Mystique.

Also, I have to say I really loved Beast in this movie... but my favorite is probably always going to be Banshee. Lol

I am totally a Marvel nerd esp. when it comes to X-Men (I collect Uncanny X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, X-Force, etc.). My favorite characters are Rogue, Gambit, Domino and Beast, so I've been pretty lacking in most of my favorites in the movies thus far other than Rogue and the brief cameo of Gambit. As a result I'm looking forward to seeing Beast and how they portray him. I'm looking forward to seeing it but it will most likely be in a couple of weekends from now....
The previous movies I enjoyed - I have the first 2 in my personal collection.
