Yes! Post the recipe, I think something with beer in it may be the only way I can get my dh to cook something other than macaroni LOL

If I recall, the recipe is basically "pop open a can of beer, stick inside chicken, cook", LOL!
I'm mostly seen them done on a grill while "standing up". You don't pour the beer in, you stick the whole can up there.

yep thats basically it just like col said - he put some spices etc on the chicken and in the can but yea he cut the can in half stuck it on the bbq for 1.5 hours and dinner was done. seriously you guys have to try it.

here is a recipe that i found: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/t...ipe/index.html

I'm telling you guys. best chicken ever.

we used bud light lime beer - haha not sure if that makes a difference in the flavor?

IDK. I don't like beer at ALL (can't get past the smell enough to take more than a sip or two). Does it taste beer-y? If so, I'd have to pass.

we make beer brats all the time (only way to make them LOL) and I'm not a fan of the taste either and you definitely can't taste the beer

also you can make it with soda too... I've heard Dr. Pepper is really yummy

You can't taste the beer...it just makes it really tender and full of flavor.

Oooh good to know cause I really don't like beer either.

Does the alcohol part disappear/evaporate at some point in the cooking?

Yes it does. Usually nothing left in the can if you cook it slow.

I love doing chicken this way. Haven't done it in years but it's so good!

I'm gonna have to try the pop version...although violating a can of dr pepper or coca cola will break my heart but it's all for the good of the chicken.

Wow, I have never heard of that before.
I will have to try it though since so many of you vouch for it.
