Isn't it amazing how a good, full-night's sleep changes your outlook on the world?!

No set plans for this weekend for us, which, to me, is the best kind of weekend. I hate the weekends where I run, run, run and it doesn't feel like the weekend at all.

well, friday night, the girls are going with my MIL to see glee. i'm jealous, but, not jealous enough to go with them LOL. i'm going to try to convince d to take me to see the help, but i'm guessing he'll scream no. sunday we have a birthday party to go to, but other than that, no real plans.

I have a quiet weekend apart from Sunday (weather dependent) as I'm taking the kids to Beamish Museum, it's all outdoors though so we need nice weather to go!

Saturday we have Rachel's First Steps appointment and my FIL's football team party to kick off their season. Sunday is the VBC thank you breakfast & church. Plus my parents are having a little get together dinner with some of the new friends we've made this summer.

Packing, packing and more packing! We are closing on our house on the 24th and have 19+ years of crap to pack up! LOL I REALLY should be packing instead of scrapping, but DH and I are procrastinators!!

We have a first birthday party in Streator on Sunday and are planning on going down Saturday evening so I can have a night out with some girlfriends from high school.

This weekend we are going through the local parade of homes... new construction by local builders to showcase what is new out there... we are looking for ideas to finish off our basement and I want a sunroom really bad.

We are at our lake house spending the last few weeks of summer vacation before school starts for DD and starting life in our new town and new home. This weekend in particular we are going to be spending with friends who are coming up from Long Island tomorrow. Should be a relaxing weekend of visiting, sailing, tubing, skiing, eating, and campfires. Weather today is crappy, but it's supposed to be a great weekend, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I babysit 2 extras all day Friday (7a-7p) so pretty much nothing that day, then an engagement session on Saturday late evening (which I'm really excited for), doing family day at the fair on Sunday.

We are moving Zak to college...sniff sniff...he won't actually start living there until the following weekend...but I want to get him all moved before I go back to work!

It's not set in stone yet, but I'm pretty sure we're going up to Ann Arbor this weekend to see Andrew's dad, Grandma J and other family. The kids have been bugging us to go and it's really the perfect time for it.

We are celebrating Peanut (our foster son) this weekend. He turns one today but his party is Saturday. I will admit, I am going a little overboard with it. I can not wait until Saturday!!! Friday, I am sure I will be cleaning and getting ready for party. Sunday we have church and a lazy family day at home.

You are making me so jealous! We try to get to ME/NH each summer, but not happening this year My DH and I actually met in Maine, the Sebago Lakes region. I need my lobster fix! Instead we will be attending a neighbor's BBQ on Saturday. Oh well, next year definitely!

We are going to Orlando for the weekend to celebrate my dd's 9th bday. We are staying with my in-laws in a timeshare. We are surprising my dd with tickets to Disney Quest and planning on going to Wet & Wild for the first ttime. My brother and his family are going to come visit us for some time at the pool. It's kind of an end of summer mini vacation as I took Monday off from work. Looking forward to spending time with my girls!

oh, my kids don't sleep in. ever. they're up at 6 or earlier every day. BUT, i went to bed at a decent time instead of staying up until midnight. LOL

This is the last weekend before Tyler goes back to school and our weekend with him, so he is staying overnight tonight with DH's parents so that he can go golfing in the morning with his Pops. DH will go get him sometime tomorrow afternoon and then we'll have him until Sunday afternoon.

I know that a trip to the state fair is on DH's to do list, but trying to get the four of us anywhere is usually a nightmare: Monkey is up by 8 am and needs a nap at 2 or 3 pm while DH and Tyler crawl out of bed around 11 or 11:30 am and are ready to go someplace right around 2 pm. If one of the three of them isn't cranky from being tired, s/he is cranky from being hungry. Maybe the boys will go by themselves Friday or Saturday, and I'll take Monkey next week in the morning.

What I am MOST looking forward to this weekend is Monkey's joint bday party Sunday afternoon at my ILs'. DH's brother + crew are coming up from Cincy (whom Monkey & I haven't seen since Easter), and we'll be celebrating Nephew's 8th bday and Monkey's 2nd bday. No theme or anything with the difference of ages and genders, but will still be fun.

Then it'll be Monkey's bday week! Yippee! She's having a Winnie the Pooh bday dinner on her actual bday on Wed and a farm party next Sunday with my family up in SBI + a bday photo shoot sometime that week. Her Etsy WTP pillowcase dress is on its way, and in two days a Gymbo Strawberry Farm denim jumper will be mine, too... because it's all abt the color- and theme-coordinated clothing for the 100s of pictures, right?! PLUS Tyler's ice cream social/orientation is Monday night, DH's MSA orientation is Tuesday night, and Tyler's first day of third grade is Wednesday.

Saturday I'm taking the younger 2 to a classmate's birthday party while DH and my oldest do something together. Afterward we'll probably all go to dinner together. Sunday we have no plans yet, but we may go scout some furniture stores. We've wanted to redo the living room for years, and I think we may finally be ready.

Busy weekend for us - as usual. Friday night dinner with my girlfriend while our hubbies work. Saturday will be spent cleaning the house, working at baseball sign-ups for fall ball and a 40th birthday party for a good friend - and the first time I've EVER had to actually pay a baby sitter to watch the kids. Sunday will be spent relaxing by our friend's pool and getting ready for next week.
