there's a blog I read too and they baked a cake with white icing and the inside was the color of the gender (in their case it was a vanilla flavored blue cake)

what a cute idea!

I probably would've done something like that if my family had been close by. But since everyone who cares is out of state, it would lose its effectiveness. LOL

On the pregnancy board where I lurk, they post all kinds of crazy ideas for gender reveal stuff. I never knew people actually threw parties for this type of thing. LOL

All of our family is out of state too so what we did with kid #4 was have the customized M&M's sent to the grandparents. We were having a boy so we had baby blue ones sent to them. We could have also had" It's a Boy" printed on them but it was more money and at like $13 bucks a pound as it was we thought just the color was sufficient enough!!!
