Default Who has front loading washing machines &

have you ever had this problem?

We've had ours for 2 years now, and I love it, but lately when you wash a cycle of clothes, the fabric softener tray/cup thing has water in it. Everytime. I use the stuff you're suppose to for those washers and actually I've been avoiding using fabric softener to see if that helps, but it doesn't.

We have Samsung ones I think. LOL!

We've had 2 front loads and if I remember correctly, yes they collect water. But I don't know that it affects anything??

We lost our last washing machine back in the spring and replaced it with a top-load. We've heard of too many problems with the bearings, etc. in the front-loads and the Maytag man said that they are switching back to the top-loads. The drum on this baby is huge and it doesn't have that center thing. I love it.

Sorry I'm not much help.

Are you talking about the tray where you add the detergent? We have Samsung front-loaders and there is always water in the tray after doing a load but it usually drains right out once the tray is opened. I just assumed it was normal.

mine drains out too and make sure you leave the door open after you wash clothes so it can dry out and not get that musty smell or moldy

Yep mine collects water where the fabric softner and bleach go. I just pop it out and dump the water before each load. Mine comes out for cleaning, so I've never thought much about it.

Mine collects water on occasion too, not every load though. When it starts doing it, I run a few loads through using vinegar in that spot & the blech spot & then use the washing machine cleaner stuff from Tide.

Don't know if it helps or not, but after the cleaner stuff runs through, it smells SO good.
