asking for more prayers
My husband was feeling sick for the last day or so and went to the hospital early this morning at my urging. He told me to just stay home and he would be home before I even got up probably. After having a bunch of tests run the doctor decided to admit him today though and gave him the news that it looks like there was more then just a laceration on his liver from the accident. He said sometimes damage takes awhile to show up completely so we are not sure exactly how bad it is but the doctor wants to keep him for at least a few days and run some more tests. So we could really use some prayers that it is minor and can be repaired or can heal itself. I am so worried about him now. I never thought that it could be anything really bad.

Oh Jessica. You can't seem to catch a break. I will pray for your husband for quick healing. And also send a few up for you so you will have peace and not be as stressed. Sending you lots and lots of hugs! I really do wish I could reach through the computer monitor and hug your neck. ((HUGS))

after talking to the nurse she said the CT scan showed some sort of mass on his liver. We are not sure what yet. They will be having specialists come in the morning to examine him and figure out what tests he will need. So still not sure what is going on or if it is related to the accident or something else completely different. I had to get a ride up to the hospital but am here with him now. He seems a lot better then he did when he left this morning though.

Thanks everyone. I probably should be sleeping because I did not get much sleep with him being so sick last night but I am just so worried. I miss him so much when he is gone and I am missing my son even more tonight if that is possible. It was really hard on Thanksgiving but I tried to focus on having my daughter, son and husband here with me and everyone being healthy. Now it is hard to do that not knowing what is going on with my husband.
I talked to my husband a little while ago and he said they started him on several antibiotics. When I left they had only one going. I am praying really hard that the bloodwork in the morning will show some changes in his blood counts and that he will only have to be away from home for a few nights at the most.

I am doing a lot better. My husband was discharged today and we are home!! They did the MRI today and discovered the mass they had thought was an infection is just scar tissue. Not to say scar tissue is nothing but it is not an abscess which is a whole lot more to worry about. The doctor believes the scar tissue is related to the laceration/s on the liver from the accident. He said my husband still has to follow up with his primary care doctor about the blood tests and he needs to rest and try to take it easy because he has refractured a rib. I think it would have caused a whole lot less worry for our whole family if they had done the MRI two days ago instead of waiting for today but I am just thankful it was ok and he is feeling better and home!! It feels good to have him here and not be so scared for him especially since I couldn't stay all day with him this time around. With school for my son and my daughter working I was limited as to how long I could stay.
