Default Question: What do you do with your digi layouts?

Do you print all of them? Some of them? None of them?

I print them out and put them into albums. I've been putting the web-sized layouts on my iPad so I can look at them whenever I want... and show them off .

I was listening to the latest episode of The DigiShow today and they were talking about some new multimedia trends in digital scrapbooking and I wondered if anyone was doing something besides just printing out their layouts.

I print most but not all. I'm finding now that I like my older layouts a lot less than I once did.

I print them as I can afford it! But eventually will print all of them to put in my sons' albums.

That's my whole purpose for scrapping - leaving a graphic timeline of our lives for family members to read/view in the present and future.

Oh, and I'm just going to add... the ones that I don't print are my scrap therapy pages and some of my AAM pages... otherwise, I print all the other ones... but I do keep my scrap therapy and AAM pages... it's just my kids don't need to see them LOL

Theoretically, I print them and put them in albums. I am WAY behind on this, though. I did just buy some albums so that I can get better about keeping up with my printing. The kids absolutely LOVE looking at the ones I have printed, so I really want to be better about having them available for the kids to look at.

I had a chance to peek at one product that was mentioned during the show (it was Steph's pick of the week) and it looks like a set of quickpages that's sized to be used in PowerPoint or Keynote. The end product was a presentation of a series of scrapbook pages set to music that can be played on the computer or burned to DVD. The really cool thing about it is that some of the "pages" had video imbedded in them!

Imagine the possibilities... Digi layouts with audio or video. Maybe an Android/iPhone/iPad app where you could scan a barcode on the layout or page protector and a related video clip would play on the device. I'm really excited to see where digital scrapbooking goes in the future! Honestly, nothing will replace my printed pages, but I can see augmenting them with some new, cool, technology!

That's why I gave up on making photo books and started printing individual pages

i don't print in books. i never scrap chronologically, and i reuse photos. but, as far as the finished LO's go, i want to print mine. i only printed a batch of ten last time. i think i have at least 50 to print.. maybe after christmas. my mom's like "GET THEM PRINTED!" she wants to see them all printed and put into a scrapbook.

I print all of mine and put them into traditional top-loading page protectors in an 8x8 album. I would love to find a SQUARE digital frame to display some in our home, but have't searched very hard for one.

Maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to change to fillable albums.. sigh. I want them all in photobooks too. Eventually. It looks so much better than in a traditional album, IMO. But it's very expensive (I have them printed in 12 x 12) and I'm never caught up on an entire year. Although I have very high hopes that my 2011 book will be finished somewhere in January.
Otherwise I don't do much with my lo's. I do have a couple of my pages framed. And I keep copies of the birth announcement cards I made on my fridge. Oh, and I always save my lo's to several EHD's, PRIOR to backing up my photos!

I'm a Photobook girl... I just like how neat and tidy they are. Honestly, I'm totally OCD about it. I am slowly scrapping pages from my childhood for an older album, but I also make sure to keep up with current pictures. I don't have kids yet so I'm finding it quite easy to keep up to date. I am looking forward to seeing my 2011 album in January.

I print them mostly, in books or as individual pages, as 8x8 or 12x12 as and when sales & cash appear.

They are also computer screensavers & in a digital photo frame & my favorites are also on my phone.

With the exception of a very, very few pages, they are all printed via Photobooks. Each year, I make a Photobook for my mom and my two sets of IL's ... they get all pages of the boys. I also print a separate book that has all of those pages, plus AAM pages, pages from photos that were not taken in the last year, etc .... I've been using Inkubook, which has books up to 200 pages, so it's perfect!

I just printed a whole bunch when Persnickety Prints had a sale. I am now uploading as I go along and when I see another sale I will order what I have not printed. I love seeing them all in books though. So much different then seeing them on the computer.

I tend to scrap chronologically, so I print photo books shortly after the end of each year when I find a good sale.

I used to use the albums and page protectors and while I think they're better for my kids' grubby little hands, I always had so much trouble with those little posts.

I wish I had mine printed, but sadly I just send the money on kits, and scrap. I haven't focused on printing. I guess my kids will just have digital copies at this rate. :/

I print them all and put them into scrapbooks. I love the look of photobooks, but I want my LOs to end up in chronological order without waiting 2 years for me to finish the year. I also think my kids would ruin photobooks. Two of them are still at the age where I need those page protectors to protect, and like this I can let them look through the albums without worrying they'll rip a page.

Ideally one day I'll put each of the kids' best or most important layouts in a photobook or 2 that they can take with them when they move out. Since my oldest is 8, I've got a while to figure it out, LOL.

My digital frame is pretty small, so I use it for regular photos.

I print all of mine...usually about 25 at a time, but now I I started doing 8x8, I can wait and do 50. I put them in albums. I also add some to different devices, like some are on my Kindle Fire

*blush* they are in my EHD. One of the things I've resolved to do is print at least ONE album next year.
