do you re-use photos?

i'm not a photographer by any stretch of the word. i tend to not bring my camera places. and when i do have it, everyone runs when i pull it out. so i reuse a lot of photos in multiple layouts. especially old photos.

am i the only one? or do other people re-use photos?

I'll usually only use a photo once, but there have been a few times that I've use a photo on more than one layout. I have a ton of photos to choose from, so I can usually find a photo that I want to use that I haven't used before.

Nope, you're not alone, I do it all the time. It's pretty bad. I counted it up back in May and I think the max was a photo that had made an appearance on 7 layouts? And I'm pretty sure it may have shown up again since then, haha.

But it's not because I don't take photos. It's because I'm a terribly lazy photo editor/organizer so it's easier to just grab a photo that's ready to go, haha.

Nope. I almost never re-use. I have more photos that I want to scrap than I have time to scrap them. I'd rather choose a new photo to scrap than do a repeat, because each re-scrapped photo means another equally memorable photo would be left out of my albums.

Yep I reuse photos! I don't take as many as an average scrapper I think, maybe also because I don't have kids But I reuse photos either coz I just want to or I have a different story to tell

I do, but not necessarily as the 'focus' photo each time. I tend to reuse photos for 'then and now' layouts or I might reuse a photo on another layout because it 'goes' with the layout but use it as a smaller photo in that layout - am I making any sense? LOL - I know what I'm trying to say but not sure if it's getting across right!

Yes, I do too. If I get a kit that just screams for a specific photo, I'll re-use it even though it's already printed. I can't help myself

yes I do. Usually it works out so one use has little journaling while another use has a bunch of journaling and a third use might have it as a smaller secondary photo... that kind of thing.

Also I might rescrap photos from layouts I did back in 2005 & don't really like the look of or just any layout I am not really happy with.

I do! Especially if a layout I am creating is mostly story-based but I don't want to do a photoless layout, I will choose a random, cute headshot of the kiddo that the story is about just to fill that space.

Also, there are only like 3 pictures of me in existance, so anytime I do an AAM page, I tend to reuse those photos, *IF* I include a photo at all!

With two boys that don't want to sit for the camera, or more likely run from the room when the camera comes out, if I can get a good picture of them, I will definitely re-use. As for myself, my avatar is from when I first started scrapping back in 2005 (ha). Frankly, when I'm scrapping layouts about myself I'm usually taking pictures of favorites or finding images on the web.

I don't anymore, only because I feel like when I can find the time to scrap I should be using new photos. Otherwise I feel like it's a waste of my time. Some photos I will repeat if I have more story to tell about it. I used to repeat photos all the time when I was on a DT (CT) because sometimes I didn't have enough quality photos for all the LO's required each month. Also, with paper scrapping I had to repeat the photo if I wanted one page for each kid's album. Now I can just print 2!

yep. I do. Because my dd doesn't much like to cooperate for photos. Plus...even though I may use the same photo, it's usually for a different concept or theme, so I don't feel as though I'm wasting my time.

I do too - especially ones from pre-digital days . . there just werent as many photos back then, and I re-use them as I feel like it . . I've also re-done layouts so I then end up with more than one page about a particular photo/story

I always reuse photos lol. My 2 hide as soon as the camera comes out so I have no choice but to use the same ones, I do try and get some sneaky photos sometimes or I resort to bribery just for a few new ones of them!

All the time esp if its a really really good picture (face shot). Then yeah chances are its on 3 or more layouts.
