who has printed form them and can you show me an actual picture of a few of your printed pages? Do they do full bleed pages? I think I am willing to pay the extra money for full bleed, but I want to make sure that none of my journlaing is going to get cut off {if it is on the inside of the page} when it is "bound"....so I guess what I am really looking for is somewhere that when you pages are printed in a "bound" album they lay flat...can anybody tell me where they do this?

I use them in the UK and find them really good, Quick service and I love the wrap around covers. I always upgrade to he heavier grade paper - it doesn't cost much extra but is well worth it. I always set my pages so there is a border all round the outside so I don't lose anything in the printing. They do full bleed though and you can get blurb to highlight what will be trimmed off the page to make sure you don't lose journalling etc.
Saying that, they don't do lay flat pages as yet so I am looking around for another printer that does as I'd like to be able to print double page spreads this year. |

I have the same experience as Rachel. Love the quality of their books and the colors, but if you have anything on the center of a spread, it will get cut off. Anything that's close to the center will be hard to see, especially journaling. I have a lot of two-pagers in my baby book and most of them are fine but on some of them I wish I had stayed a little further from the edge.
I did a lot of research before getting my book printed and the problem with the lay flat pages would be that they will sooner lose pages over time because they're glued. (at least that's what I read) Blurb does a stitched binding. That's what made me decide to go for Blurb. I wonder if there are printers that both do the lay-flat technique AND a stitched binding? |

Just wanted to add that the bleed is really small, I don't notice it on the outer edges of my pages. I think they claim that no more than 3 mm is going to be cut off, but most of the times (in my album) it's less.

thanks so much Stacey....did you have any LO's where you journaling would have been on the inner edge of a page? I wonder how that prints and if I will lose some journlaing when I print? I want to print 12x12....which size did you seem to like the best?
here are a few of my LO's that I am worried about getting cut off.... ![]() ![]() ![]() they are all from my P365 album last year and I wonder ho much of that journaling will get cut off ![]() |

the downloadable blurb book software, which is what I used each time has guide lines that show where the edges & margins are. I would think that your journaling would be fine. but on a couple where I wasn't entirely sure about mine I just added an eighth inch border around the layout in PSP & then saved it as 12x12. I like the look of the layouts in the 12x12 book best of the three. I would have gone with it for 2009 as well but it would have cost too much so I did the 7x7. I like the 7x7 just fine, but it feels so small beside my other scrapbooks which are 8x8 or 8.5x8.5
