When my hard drive crashed I lost all my Darcy fonts and digital kits that were on my desktop but fortunately they were all backed up to my laptop and the kits were on DVDs. BUT the only place my fonts were backed to was the laptop.
I tried to transfer the fonts to a thumb drive and then put them on the desktop but that wouldn't work. Is there another way to transfer them over? The thout of scrapping without my Darcy fonts makes me ![]() |

Marie - put them on the thumbdrive, then put them in a folder, not the desktop on your new computer. Then copy them into your c:/windows/fonts folder which is where they need to be (assuming you're talking about windows).

Darcy - I tried to put them on the thumbdrive but when I right clicked it didn't give me the "send to" option. I went to my font folder in Windows and tried to copy them from there. Should I be looking for them somewhere else?

Yes, when I go to Computer, drive C, then windows, then fonts, I can see all the fonts that are loaded onto the laptop. When I copied other files for work, etc. I would right click on the file then click on "send to" and then send them to the thumbdrive but for some reason with the font files it doesn't give that option.

Maybe I need to copy the whole folder and not the individual files?

I think you have to go through and unselect all the system fonts...or do it a small chunk at a time. I'm trying to remember what I had to do when my HD crashed...I think it was small chunks, but I'm not 100% sure
