Default My Weigh In this morning was more of a Walk Of Shame

I've been on WW since January 1st and I've done really well with it, like proud of myself good, until this week. I weighed in this morning and I gained .1 lbs. I know it isn't horrible, but I feel horrible. I made the wrong decisions all week long and I knew I was doing it, but I just kept on doing it. I've been working on changing my relationship with food so that I never have to diet again, but this week I've been that same scared chunky girl trying to find comfort in an ice cream bar. Which didn't work anyway.

I'm trying to talk myself into a better frame of mind for this upcoming week. I mean I've lost 39.2 lbs now, I am still mourning the 39.3 it used to be, and actually fit in a pair of jeans I put in the back of my closet six years ago, so all is not lost and this is a little set back. I've slipped, but I haven't fallen completely off the wagon, right? I've cleaned all the food off my counters per Traci's advice except fruit and planned out my meals for the week. Any more good advice up to and including a firm kick in the britches is most welcome.

yanno, I've gained 2.5 lbs at a weigh in before and last week I only lost .4 because I made bad decisions! It'll be ok! I made up some mason jar meals that I can grab when I'm hungry instead of something that I know will be bad for me and that's been a lifesaver this week! {{HUGS}}

I gained 1.8 last week! And honestly, I was really tempted to quit. Sigh.

How about going out for a walk?! Just a stroll. I don't know if the weather is nice where you are, but it could be lovely!

I almost didn't go this week and I weighed in at home first to make sure I'd lost before I went LOL

I know you know this, but our bodies naturally fluctuate with water retention, food consumption, sodium intake, etc .... you drink 8 oz of water ... you "gain" 0.5 lbs, right? That is completely awesome that you've lost almost 40 lbs!!! You should be soooo proud of yourself!!! What is important is that you are thinking of your health! Celebrate your successes! You are doing so well

I think it's great that you can say, "I made bad choices and there was a bad result." I bet remember how bad it made you feel will help you make better choices. Plus, that's a lot of weight to lose; you rock!

I hope you have a smashing week this week!

I think maybe it's not what you need to DO to lose the weight. Maybe forgive yourself for "reverting" first? It's part of the journey to slip--be gentle with yourself

And hello! WOOT for losing almost 40 pounds! That is TREMENDOUS!

Thanks everyone for your support and words of encouragement. I have done well and it is silly to beat myself up for one bad week. I just need to learn from it and move on and stop being so dang silly. One mistake is not insurmountable and a bad week does not negate three good months.

I did take Nicole's advice and go for a nice long walk and just enjoy the weather, then I mowed the yard for a bit of exercise. I felt way better after.
